  • Patent number: 8287645
Abstract: In the production process of the present invention for high purity polycrystal silicon, using a vertical reactor having a silicon chloride gas-feeding nozzle and a reducing agent gas-feeding nozzle which are disposed at an upper part and a waste gas discharge pipe, a silicon chloride gas and a reducing agent gas are fed into the reactor to form polycrystal silicon at a tip part of the silicon chloride gas-feeding nozzle by the reaction of the silicon chloride gas with the reducing agent gas, and the polycrystal silicon is allowed to grow from the tip part of the silicon chloride gas-feeding nozzle toward a lower part thereof.

  • Patent number: 8038392
Abstract: The effective efficiency of a centrifugal compressor can be improved by achieving a uniform distribution of fluid velocity across the outlet end of a fluid passage of an axial diffuser for the centrifugal compressor and a high static pressure recovery ratio Cp in the axial diffuser passage. The cross section of each axial diffuser passage is configured such that a relatively high velocity fluid flow in an upstream part of the diffuser passage is directed toward a negative pressure side of a cross section thereof. It can be accomplished by directing a minor axis of a cross section of the diffuser passage substantially perpendicularly to a direction directed from a center of the cross section of the diffuser passage to the central axial line of an impeller or directing the minor axis toward the central axial line of the impeller.

  • Patent number: 6719528
Abstract: In a stator vane arrangement including a plurality of stator vanes axially opposing a plurality of rotor vanes in rotating machinery, each stator vane is tilted with respect to a radial line so that the load acting on the hub end of each stator vane is reduced and a secondary flow is minimized. This allows the aspect ratio of each stator vane to be reduced, and the number of stator vanes to be reduced without impairing the efficiency of the rotating machinery. This in turn allows the frequency of the oscillator force produced by the stator vane in relation with the motion of the rotor vanes to be lowered so that a resonant condition of the stator vanes can be avoided relatively easily.

  • Patent number: 5892747
Abstract: In a disk drive unit, a top cover, a front cover and a loading base attached with a body module cooperatively form a substantially closed receiving space for an optical disk. The front cover is provided with a dustproof shutter which closes the foregoing receiving space except upon insertion or ejection of an optical disk cartridge including therein the optical disk. Further, a dustproof cap is attached to the body module so as to cover the underside of the body module where a circuit board is disposed for processing signals relative to an optical head. A hermetically closed space is formed between the underside of the body module and the dustproof cap, in which the circuit board is accommodated.

  • Patent number: 5327077
Abstract: A movement detector device consumes less power and provides a high detection reliability. The teeth on a rotating gear are magnetically detected. There are a number of interconnected magneto-resistors MR1 through MRi connected in series, with the series circuit connected between a power supply line and a ground line. There are output signal pickup points P1 through P7 at the connections between the adjacent magneto-resistors. Signals outputted from these signal pickup points P1 through P7 are shifted in their phases by 1/2period with respect to each other. These signals are paired, and each of the paired signals is fed to a differential amplifier circuit to provide signals E1 through E4 as detection signals. In another embodiments, a linear member has a number of magnetic spots which may be detected in the same manner that the gear teeth are detected.

  • Patent number: 4752647
Abstract: A process for producing a tetraalkoxysilane by subjecting silicon and a lower alkyl alcohol to catalytic reaction in the presence of an alkali metal alkoxide catalyst is provided, which process comprises carrying out the catalytic reaction at 50.degree.-400.degree. C., adding a specified ether compound, and which process affords such advantages that the alkali metal alkoxide catalyst well dissolves in the reaction mixture to make it possible to easily carry out the reaction; whether Si-containing particles as raw material for Si are fine or coarse, the reaction can be carried at an increased reaction rate; and the yield of the tetraalkoxysilane per hour per unit weights of raw materials is high.
