  • Patent number: 9068740
Abstract: A sunlight heat utilized steam absorption chiller is provided with a generator which uses steam generated by sunlight heat as a heat source, an absorber, an evaporator, and a condenser, and has a heat exchanger for allowing heat exchange between a dilute solution flowing from the absorber to the generator and a strong solution flowing from the generator to the absorber. The chiller is provided with a burning heat source for generating steam, and either the steam generated by the burning heat source or the steam generated using sunlight heat can be used as the heat source for the generator. The chiller is provided with a steam drain heat recovery unit for allowing heat exchange between at least part of the dilute solution flowing from the absorber to the generator and a steam drain discharged from the generator so as to allow heat recovery from the steam drain.

  • Patent number: 6301897
Abstract: A gas turbine suction air cooling system includes a gas turbine, a suction air cooler for cooling the outside air to be drawn into the gas turbine, an air-cooling coil for feeding chilled water so as to cool the outside air drawn into the suction air cooler, and absorption chillers for feeding the chilled water to the air-cooling coil. The air-cooling coil is divided into a plurality of coil lines, and the air-cooling coil, disposed closest to the outside air, is connected to the absorption chiller for feeding the chilled water of highest temperature, and the other air-cooling coil, disposed closest to the gas turbine, is connected to the absorption chiller for feeding the chilled water of lowest temperature. The system having such as a construction can be made small in size and high in efficiency.

  • Patent number: 5819546
Abstract: An absorption chiller having a high temperature generator and a low temperature generator includes a pressure detecting means for detecting a pressure within the high temperature generator, a concentration fixing control means for controlling a concentration of the solution of the high temperature generator or of the low temperature generator, a selection converter for receiving two output signals from the pressure detecting means and the concentration fixing control means as inputs, selecting and outputting a higher one of these input signals, and a rotational speed controlling device for controlling a rotational speed of the solution pump by the output signal of this selection converter. An absorption solution is controlled adequately in its circulation quantity in accordance with a load from a low load range to a high load range of this absorption chiller, so that the solution is not crystallized even in the low load range, and efficiency during a partial load operation is improved.

  • Patent number: 5479783
Abstract: In an absorption chiller comprising at least two chiller modules connected to each other and a method therefor in which an evaporator, an absorber, a condenser, a low-temperature generator, a high-temperature generator, a heat exchanger, an absorption solution pump and a refrigerant pump are functionally connected to one another, and gas, oil, vapor or exhaust gas discharged from a gas turbine, a diesel engine or another process is used as a heat source for the low-temperature generator or the high-temperature generator, the at least two chiller modules are connected to each other such that chilled water flows through the respective chiller modules in series while cooling water flows through the respective chiller modules in parallel, and that directions of flow of the chilled water and the cooling water are longitudinally reverse to each other in at least one chiller module which includes a final outlet for the chilled water, and, in the absorber of each chiller module, absorption solution is sprayed in at l
