  • Patent number: 6884915
Abstract: The present invention is a process for producing styrene by dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene, which contains the steps of (i) feeding a raw material gas containing ethylbenzene and steam to a first dehydrogenating step to produce a reacted gas containing ethylbenzene, styrene and hydrogen in the presence of a dehydrogenation catalyst, (ii) feeding the reacted gas obtained in the first dehydrogenating step to an oxidizing step to combust at least part of hydrogen in the presence of an oxidation catalyst, and (iii) feeding the reacted gas obtained in the oxidizing step to a second dehydrogenating step to produce styrene from ethylbenzene in the presence of the dehydrogenation catalyst, with maintaining the carbon dioxide-generating ratio in the second dehydrogenating step at a level less than 2.1 times that at the initial stage of the reaction.
    Type: Grant

    Assignee: Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation
    Inventors: Shuji Obayashi, Takahito Nishiyama
  • Patent number: 6625713
Abstract: A memory controller for reading data stored in a nonvolatile memory that includes a number of erasable blocks containing a number of pages. A logical/physical address control table stored in a logical/physical address control table block of the nonvolatile memory is searched, read, and manipulated in the nonvolatile memory.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 19, 2002
Date of Patent: September 23, 2003
    Assignee: Sony Corporation
Inventors: Kenichi Iida, Noriyuki Koga, Eiichi Yamada, Mari Sugiura, Shuji Obayashi
  • Patent number: 6591328
Abstract: A non-volatile memory including a logical/physical address control table for controlling data recorded discretely in the non-volatile memory composed of a plurality of blocks each serving as a data deletion unit and including adjacent pages which each have a fixed length and serve as a data read/write unit. An operand data block includes operand identification data that indicates data stored in the operand data block is, in fact, operand data. The logical/physical control table block located in the non-volatile memory includes control-table identification data that indicates that data that is stored therein is, in fact, control table data that includes logical addresses and physical addresses.

  • Publication number: 20020124130
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a non-volatile memory including a logical/physical address control table for controlling data recorded discretely in the non-volatile memory composed of a plurality of blocks each serving as a data deletion unit and comprising adjacent pages which each have a fixed length and serve as a data read/write unit, and to provide a recording apparatus as well as a recording method for generating control data cataloged in the logical/physical address control table and used in making an access to the nonvolatile memory.
