Patent number: 6253358Abstract: An overall calculation of a semiconductor integrated circuit comprising an assemblage of a plurality of circuit blocks is predicted at an initial stage of design. When a circuit block is selected by clicking an analysis button on the screen of the system analysis browser, the block is changed to the screen of the circuit block analysis browser for the selected circuit block. When a parameter unique to the circuit is input to the parameter input panel to click the start button, the performance prediction value of the circuit is displayed on the parameter input panel. This is performed for each circuit block. On the data format panel of the system analysis browser screen, the prediction of the wiring delay time between respective circuits is displayed together with the performance prediction value of each circuit block.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 1998Date of Patent: June 26, 2001Assignee: NEC CorporationInventor: Shuji Takahashi

Patent number: 5982064Abstract: The DC motor according to the present invention includes one radial ball bearing and a thrust bearing constituted by a shaft receiving member provided on a housing to be abutted by one end of a rotating shaft. Further, a magnetic and/or a spring bias force is applied to the rotating shaft to supplement thrust load bearing force of the thrust bearing. Compared with conventional DC motors in which a rotor is supported by a shaft through a pair of ball bearings which are axially spaced apart from each other, the present invention enables reduction of the overall motor height without harming the rotational stability while simultaneously achieving low production cost.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 1998Date of Patent: November 9, 1999Assignee: Nidec CorporationInventors: Fumihiro Umeda, Shuji Takahashi

Patent number: 5610462Abstract: There is disclosed a brushless motor in which an oil-impregnated sleeve bearing is inserted in a bearing holder having a cylindrical shape with a closed bottom, and a rotating shaft is inserted in the oil-impregnated sleeve bearing in such a manner that the rotating shaft may freely rotate. With this arrangement, it becomes possible to prevent lubricant from leaking out without increasing either the number of component elements or the number of assembling steps. The oil-impregnated sleeve bearing comprises an inner and outer layers. An oil seat is disposed on the oil-impregnated sleeve bearing at the open-end side of the bearing holder. The percentages of voids are set such that the percentages of voids become lower in the order of the oil seal, the outer layer, and the inner layer. With the above arrangement, the lubricant can be prevented from leaking out through a gap of the bearing, and therefore reduction of life due to the leakage of lubricant can also be prevented.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 1994Date of Patent: March 11, 1997Assignee: Nidec CorporationInventor: Shuji Takahashi
