  • Publication number: 20230418994
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and a system for modularized modeling of equipment entities in simulation field based on meta-model, where meta-modeling is combined with modularized modeling, and equipment simulation entities are divided into different model modules in terms of their physical attributes, behavior attributes, and task reliability attributes; a complete set of metadata is designed to characterize each dimensional attribute of the entity, and a meta-model representation protocol based on extensible markup language (XML) description is used to loosely couple the modeling of each module; after the simulation experiment is designed, the modules are bound for entity instantiation.

  • Publication number: 20140317997
Abstract: A termite electrocuting apparatus adapted to protect a structure with at least one vent opening and an access door from invading termites includes a step-up transformer, an AC/DC converter, at lease one wire mesh assembly connected to high DC voltage, and an on-off switch. The high voltage to the wire mesh assembly can be switched on and off in a highly reliable way to ensure safety when people are in proximity to the wire mesh assembly and to guarantee protection from invading termites. In particular, the switch device is integrated into the access door in such a way that the opening of the access door which happens when people need to get into the structure will automatically switch off the power to the high potential circuitry to remove the high potential hazard and the closing of the access door when people leaves the structure will automatically switch on the high potential circuitry to enable energized wire mesh assemblies to electrocute any termites that try to enter the structure.

  • Patent number: 8839555
Abstract: An integrated environmental sustaining apparatus for maintaining a terrarium is adapted to simultaneously regulate temperature and deliver water droplets. The apparatus includes three major systems; a thermoelectric device, a water droplet delivery system, and a thermostat. The thermoelectric device is used to release heat or absorb heat. The water droplet delivery system includes a water pump, a water pipe and at least one water droplet dispersing device connected to the water pipe. A section of the water pipe is coupled to the thermoelectric device such that water flowing inside the water pipe will thermally communicate with the thermoelectric device. The thermostat is used to power on or off the thermoelectric device and the water pump in response to the temperature measurement inside the terrarium in relation to a predetermined temperature range determined by a low-temperature setting and a high temperature setting that can be programmed into the thermostat.

  • Publication number: 20140076301
Abstract: A defrosting device for use in a household or commercial environment to effectively defrost frozen food packages is described. The device consists of three major parts; a top shell, a bottom shell and a hinge mechanism connecting the top shell and the bottom shell to allow the top shell to rotate around the hinge to open and close relative to the bottom shell. To defrost a frozen food package, the defrosting device rests on a flat surface, such as on a countertop, and the frozen food package is sandwiched between the top shell and the bottom shell. Since resistance to heat transfer from the ambient, air and from the flat surface to the frozen food package is minimized through the paths along the top shell as well as the bottom shell, the defrosting device is able to effectively defrost frozen food packages.

  • Patent number: 8319124
Abstract: A liquid activated switch apparatus that is adapted to be connected to at least on electric circuit can be used to turn on and off said electric circuit based on the amount of liquid accumulated in the apparatus. The apparatus includes a container adapted to receive liquid such as water or rain. Inside the container, there are two electrically conductive members with the first member attached to the container and the second member to a floating body. The floating body is designed and configured such that the floating body will start floating once liquid accumulated inside the container reaches certain predetermined level or a threshold. The floating body will float and rise along with the rising liquid level beyond the threshold thus displacing the second electrically conductive member that is attached to it causing two electrically conductive members to change connectivity; from electrically connected to disconnected or vice versa.
