Abstract: A temporary storage control unit includes an input processor unit for performing a process of temporarily storing characters input through an operation unit into a volatile storage device, a display processor unit for performing a process of causing a display unit to display input characters, and an instruction acceptance unit for accepting a paste instruction related to a paste destination of characters temporarily stored. A paste control unit activates another program corresponding to a paste destination, and pastes the characters temporarily stored into a character input region according to the activated program.

Abstract: A recording and reproducing device having a detector, which detects the beginning of inputting a string of characters associated with a user input while recording or reproducing video and/or audio data, storing marking position data with reference to the beginning of the inputting characters of the character string, at the point in time detected by the detector. Wherein a reproducing operation of the recorded data, can be done at a starting point specified pointing to character strings. This allows the user to select character strings generated in a character display area, whereby the recorded video data can be reproduced from the positions stored with reference to user selected character strings.

Abstract: A recording and reproducing device capable of storing video-recording and reproducing position with reference to a character string inputted at that point of time and of reproducing the recorded video data starting at a specified position by pointing the related character string. A recording and reproducing device is provide with a recording/reproducing means for recording/reproducing video information, a character inputting means for inputting characters and a recording/reproducing position storing means for relationally storing information indicating the relation a position of recording or reproducing data by the recording/reproducing means at a time point of detection of the character inputting, the string of character inputted by the character inputting means and information indicating area wherein the characters have been inputted, when inputting of a string of character are started by the character inputting means during recording or reproducing video data by the recording/reproducing means.

Abstract: A zoom lens is zoomed selectively in either of two opposite directions by a motor which is rotated by a driver. First and second zoom switches cause the zoom lens to move at a higher speed. Third and fourth zoom switches cause the zoom lens to move at a lower speed for precisely stopping the zoom lens. A CPU connected to the four switches controls a zoom motor to rotate selectively at higher and lower speeds. The first and third zoom switches cause the zoom lens to move in the direction of telephotography, while the second and fourth zoom switches cause the zoom lens to move in the direction of wide-angle photography. In order to keep the speed of the zoom lens unchanged despite the difference in its direction, an electric current of a larger electric power is applied to the motor for rotation in the direction that requires more work.

Abstract: An aerosol-particle dispenser includes a support, a receptacle mounted on the support and adapted to contain a substance to be dispensed. An outlet pipe communicates with the receptacle and has an outlet nozzle in which a rotary agitating device or turbine is installed. A blower is mounted on the support and communicates with the interior of the outlet, and a compressor is also mounted on the support and communicates with the interior of the receptacle in order to furnish compressed gas to the same.
