  • Patent number: 5850711
Abstract: A vehicle window opening/closing device is shown for opening and closing a window glass by link action executed by a sector gear that is reciprocally swung by rotation of a pinion gear. A lift arm and a coupling link are also provided. When the window glass is in its fully-closed-state, the journaling point at which the coupling link is supported by the sector gear is set to cross a fulcrum position defined by the positional relationship between the sector gear and the coupling link. A regulation portion composed of a regulating piece and a regulated piece is provided between the sector gear and the coupling link to thereby regulate movement of the coupling link in a beyond-fulcrum-position direction across the fully-closed-state. With this arrangement, the size of the device is not increased when a mechanism for locking the window glass when it is fully closed is attained.

  • Patent number: 5261075
Abstract: A control board connected to a main body of a computer, which has access to an optical recording medium through an optical recording medium read/write device, and for controlling and enabling the optical recording medium read/write device to have access to the optical recording medium in the same manner as an existing magnetic disk device and the like have with respect to a magnetic medium. This control board is composed of a directory development processing station, various types of interface processing stations, a retrieval processing station, a data transfer/receiving processing station, a data input/output processing station and a directory update processing station. It is possible to have access as easily to the optical recording medium as to other existing media by using commands, I/O functions, and so on in the computer body.

  • Patent number: 5027337
Abstract: An optical recording medium has a data storage section including data tracks and tracking lines formed in the data storage section for reading or writing data. The optical recording medium includes an elongated recording region defined between each two adjacent tracking lines, each of the data recording regions having at least one data track disposed offset from the center of the data recording region. The tracking method for the medium includes establishing a first optical detection region on the medium for detecting the tracking line position relative to the detection region and establishing a second optical detection region on the medium for reading or writing which is positioned in a fixed relationship to the first optical detection region.

  • Patent number: 4994658
Abstract: A reader/writer apparatus for an optical memory card for reading and/or writing data with respect to the optical memory card having a data storing face, which apparatus comprises a card holder including a carriage carrying and holding the card inserted and transporting the card to a reading or writing position and a feeding mechanism for driving the carriage. The reader/writer of the present invention may further comprise an optical waveguide holder holding an optical waveguide, which is connected, at a base end thereof, to the light emitting and receiving section of a reading head, so that another end of the optical waveguide may oppose a data recording face of the optical memory card. The waveguide holder is moved independently of the movement of the car holder. The reader/writer apparatus of the present invention may further comprise a regulating member for regulating the angular position of the card.

  • Patent number: 4855981
Abstract: Method and a device for reading out optically recorded data from an optical recording medium having data recording regions defined by reference lines in stripe and plural data tracks arranged in parallel to each other and perpendicular to said reference lines. According to the present inventions, a drastic change in the position of a reference line at a given order within the sensing field is monitored from among plural reference lines covered by the field. If there is any drastic change, the order of the reference line for reading is modified so that the data track to be read can be accurately followed even if the field of the reading sensor is deviated in the direction of the data tracks. It also enables correct data reading by checking whether the position of the reference lines included in the field of the reading sensor is within the preset tolerance.

  • Patent number: 4817067
Abstract: An optical recording medium which is capable of easily effecting a tracking operation in the writing/reading for an optical recording medium of a type in which a plurality of data record tracks and provided, in a recording region of the medium, so as to be disposed side by side and spaced from each other at predetermined intervals. The optical recording medium of the present invention comprising at least one home position setting mark for setting a reference position for each of the data record tracks so that the writing/reading of data may be carried out by using the home position setting mark as a reference. The home position setting mark may have track position marks at positions corresponding to the respective data record tracks for indicating the positions of the respective data record tracks.
