  • Publication number: 20020165233
Abstract: Disclosed is the use of an antiviral substance which, when given alone for 14 days, shows a mean initial suppression of viral load by 1.4 log or more and which does not reduce the number of lymphocytes, granulocytes and macrophages as determined by differential blood count after 12 weeks of treatment for the manufacture of a medicament for the immune system-assisted post-exposure prophylaxis of an HIV infection.

  • Patent number: 4356173
Abstract: IgM derivatives into which acyl groups expressed by the following formula (I) are introduced to make their anticomplement activity weak by acylating the free amino groups existing in IgM up to 1-90% (acylation percentage)--COR (I)where R indicates an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or a carboxylated alkyl group expressed by --(CH.sub.2)mCOOH (m is 2 or 3) or --CH.dbd.CHCOOH.These IgM derivatives can be used for making immunoglobulin preparations for intravenous injection use.

  • Patent number: 4210412
Abstract: Method of transfer printing for cellulosic textile articles by pretreating the article with a polyhydric alcohol, squeezing and drying the article, superposing the article with a transfer sheet printed with an ink containing a sublimable disperse dye and pressing the assembly under heating.

  • Patent number: 4105804
Abstract: Bacterial cells are separated from a culture broth by adding thereto a solution of casein or alkali-soluble soybean proteins, said culture broth being maintained at a pH less than 6. Bacteria cells are flocculated to form a protein-bacteria co-precipitate which is easily separable by a conventional procedure. The co-precipitate may be directly put to uses such as for foods or feeds.

  • Patent number: 4027345
Abstract: A method of transfer printing, wherein a release layer is formed on a temporary support; printing a pattern on said release layer with an ink containing coloring matter therein to obtain a transfer sheet; superposing an article to be transfer-printed on the printed surface of said transfer sheet; heating the superposed aggregate under pressure to transfer the release layer with the pattern onto said article to be transfer-printed; fixing the coloring matter to said article, and then soaping said article to remove the release layer, characterized in that the release layer consists of (1) 10-90 wt. percent of one or more thermoplastic polymers having excellent film-forming properties and water-solubility or alkaline water solubility as well as organic solvent solubility and (2) 90 to 10 wt. percent of one or more plasticizers having a melting point between 30.degree. and 120.degree.
