  • Patent number: 11956126
Abstract: In one embodiment, an illustrative method herein may comprise: determining, by a network controller, physical network topology of a data center network; collecting, by the network controller, virtual machine related network topology of the data center network from a virtual machine manager for the data center network; collecting, by the network controller, virtual ethernet flow mapping information of the data center network from a blade system management software for the data center network; collecting, by the network controller, container workload information of the data center network from a container orchestrator for the data center network; and generating, by the network controller, an integrated correlated visualization mapping of containers and associated network attachment points in the data center network based on the physical network topology, the virtual machine related network topology, the virtual ethernet flow mapping information, and the container workload information.

  • Publication number: 20240073099
Abstract: Techniques for automatically claiming switches of a tenant computer network by a remote, cloud-based network controller. A first seed switch is manually claimed by a user by implementing the remote, cloud-based network controller. After claiming the seed switch a set of switches immediately connected with the seed switch are identified by Device Connector logic in the seed switch and immediately connected switches. Switches directly connected to those switches are then identified using Device Connector logic of the switches. This process is performed iteratively by identifying immediately connected switches until all of the switches are identified. All or a subset of the identified switches can then be claimed by the remote, cloud-based controller based on a response from the tenant network user.

  • Publication number: 20230318958
Abstract: A system and method for providing end-to-end data flow analytics in a network flow that includes network appliances. Information regarding one or more network appliances is received by a flow collector and analyzed by an enrichment module. The network information regarding the one or more network appliances can be stored. Network flow data is received from various nodes within the network and stitched or aggregated in light of the enriched network appliance information to provide an end-to-end data flow that can be useful to understand one or more performance parameters of the unified network flow.

  • Publication number: 20230130631
Abstract: In an example method, a head node connected to a source device transmits a multicast data flow from the source device to receiving devices connected to tail nodes using Default MDT. The example method further includes determining that requirements have been met to begin transmitting the multicast data flow using Data MDT. The method may further include determining whether the tail nodes are able to receive the multicast data flow using Data MDT. In response to determining that all the tail nodes are able to receive the multicast data flow using Data MDT, switch to transmitting the multicast data flow to the tail nodes using Data MDT.
