  • Patent number: 10805117
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include an OFDM receiver circuit, which includes an FFT circuit configured to calculate an FFT of a plurality of sample values received by the receiver circuit, and a smoothing circuit configured to identify equalizer coefficients for the sample values by truncating portions of an impulse response of the FFT.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 6, 2017
Date of Patent: October 13, 2020
    Assignee: MICROCHIP TECHNOLOGY INCORPORATED
Inventors: Hamid Shafiee, Mohsen Pourkhaatoun, Kiran Gowda, Siddharth Shetty, Esmael Heidari, Ali Fard, Rahim Bagheri, Masoud Djafari
  • Patent number: 10122568
Abstract: A receiver circuit includes a conversion circuit configured to down-convert a received radio-frequency signal to a baseband signal, an analog-to-digital converter configured to sample the baseband signal into a sampled signal, a Fast Fourier transform (FFT) circuit configured to perform an FFT on the sampled signal, and a digital compensation circuit configured to compensate for IQ distortion in a frequency domain.

  • Patent number: 8725078
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to wireless communications, and more particularly to reducing interference in wireless communications. The principal object of this invention is to co-ordinate between two or more communication radios, present within the same device or a plurality of devices present close to each other, without interfering with other non-interfering devices. Embodiments disclosed herein disclose a scheme for reducing interference between any licensed and/or unlicensed radio.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 26, 2010
Date of Patent: May 13, 2014
Assignee: TTSL IITB Center for Excellence in Telecom (TICET)
Inventors: Siddharth Shetty, Punit Rathod, Abhay Karandikar

  • Publication number: 20080268779
Abstract: A victim wireless device is detected by obtaining a set of wireless bands and a set of time periods. During a given time period a subset of wireless bands corresponding to that time period is vacant and a remaining subset of wireless bands is used to exchange data. During each of the time periods in the set of time periods: a signal, if any, is received; in the event a signal is received, the subset of vacant wireless bands corresponding to that time period is recorded; and after the set of time periods ends, it is determined whether there is a victim wireless device based at least in part on the number of vacant wireless bands recorded.

  • Publication number: 20080019420
Abstract: A protected wireless device is avoided. An indication is received that another wireless device has detected a protected wireless device. The protected wireless device is avoided in the event the wireless device that detected the protected wireless device is within a threshold number of hops from the wireless device that received the indication.
