Abstract: A block, in particular a shuttering block or standard block, has two longitudinal walls which form an outer wall and an inner wall. These are connected to one another by at least one transverse wall, which extends over at least part of the height of the block. The outer wall is produced from an insulating material and is connected to the inner wall via positively locking connecting devices. In this arrangement, the at least one transverse wall is integral with the outer wall.

Abstract: A formwork brick has two longitudinal walls, which form an external wall and internal wall, at least two cross walls, which extend over only a part of the brick height, a cavity lying between the walls for filling with concrete, and a first insulating insert, which is arranged on the inside of one of the two longitudinal walls. The cross walls are connected to the longitudinal walls such that the formwork brick has an H-shape. A set of second insulating inserts are placed in an inverted position over the cross walls enclosing the cross walls in the area of their reduced height.

Abstract: Apparatus for milling building blocks comprise a first arrangement for milling said blocks at a first side thereof, and a second arrangement for milling said blocks at a second side thereof. Apparatus are located between the mentioned first and second arrangements for accelerating the blocks after their milling at the first side. Apparatus further are located between one of the mentioned first and second arrangements and the accelerating apparatus, for turning the blocks for their milling at a second side thereof by 180.degree. about an axis extending parallel to the direction of transportation of the blocks.

Abstract: An apparatus for sawing different kinds of materials has a supporting frame including a girder-type construction defining an opening for the feed-through of materials to be cut in longitudinal direction by a saw blade. A supporting platform for materials to be cut includes a carriage platform for materials to be cut includes a carriage displaceable in longitudinal direction, and a clamping arrangement for materials to be cut is located on the carriage. At least one supporting bracket is positioned laterally of the saw blade in front and back regions of the frame and mounted on said carriage, and an upper and lower cross-beam is provided for each supporting bracket, with each lower cross-beam being arranged at a distance from the carrier. Vertically movable rods are arranged between the upper and lower cross-beams and carry a clamping device for materials to be cut. The saw blades may be slanted for increased efficiency and durability.
