  • Publication number: 20110302980
Abstract: The invention relates to a charging device for a bush expander for punched bush blanks, having a charging weight of, in the warm state, many hundreds of tonnes, for example 200 to 800 tonnes, preferably 200 to 600 tonnes, and to a method for forging punched bush blanks.

  • Publication number: 20110083486
Abstract: The invention relates to a bush widening apparatus and a process by means of which it is possible to partially, in sections, forge at relatively low investment costs large and heavy bush blanks by means of a motor-driven, e. g. hydraulic, forming tool, and during which process both the diameter and the height of these banks increase in size.

  • Publication number: 20020038563
Abstract: The invention relates to forming equipment for rolling and profiling disk-shaped and ring-shaped parts of a metallic material, e.g., of steel, of super alloys, aluminum alloys, etc., whereby a pressure rolling device without its own axial drive designed as a transportable and replaceable construction unit that it can be replaceably mounted in a conventional forging press between a press ram and the press bed plate for axial rolling. Because of this, the investment costs for otherwise conventional pressure rolling machines is reduced considerably and current forging presses can be used without remodeling for axial rolling by integrating a pressure rolling device according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 6103159
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preventing material to be briquetted from sticking to a roll surface of a briquetting roll press. To be more specific, a sticking of the material to be briquetted to and a sintering of the material on the roll surface are to be prevented. To this end, a lubricant emulsion which is atomized with a gas is sprayed onto the roll surface.

  • Patent number: 4611751
Abstract: The invention comprises a method and an apparatus for the manufacture of cylindrical hollow bodies by the shape welding process. This apparatus comprises a connection between a rotatably mounted supporting body which can be driven and a base body onto which the weld material is deposited. This connection is effected by elastically deformable elements and is capable of changing in the radial direction. Metal profiles which can be deformed elastically are fastened, in a manner permitting detachment, to the periphery of the supporting body, spaced at regular intervals. The base body is composed of a metal sheet or strip which is wrapped around the profiles and attached to them in a manner permitting detachment. Preferably the profiles extend over the length of the supporting body. The deformable metal profiles may be designed as cylindrical tubes, without any discontinuities or as half-tubes, angle-profiles, Z-profiles, or corrugated-sheet profiles.

  • Patent number: 4084419
Abstract: A method of manufacturing annular metal workpieces which have a deeply profiled cross-section, such as a blank flange, comprises heating the workpiece bloom or bar to a forging temperature and upsetting and piercing the workpiece to form a pierced blank. The pierced blank is then roughened by applying a force which acts at least on the outside and the inside periphery while the blank is rotated in order to form the blank into a ring which has a substantially rectangular cross-section and an inside diameter which is equal to or slightly larger than the inside diameter of the finished part. Thereupon, the ring is rotated and is shaped to the desired profile by directing a force on the front face of the rotating ring and finish-rolling it to the final internal and external diameters. The forces are exerted simultaneously on the peripheral surfaces and the front surfaces of the rotating ring. The material flow of the rotating ring is limited in the radial direction during this process.
