Abstract: A gas releasing cap 750 comprises a cap body 501 composed of a top plate part 511 and a side wall 512 installed downwardly at the rim of the top plate part 511, where an opening is formed, and a pushing member 502 having a pushing projection 521 swingably connected to the top plate part 511 of the cap body 501, wherein the cap 750 is capable of releasing gas by swinging the pushing member downwardly so as to lock the pushing member 502 into the top plate part 511 and pushing the stem 35 with a pushing projection 502 when releasing gas.

Abstract: A multi-layer liquid crystal panel for a liquid crystal display device having stacked light transmitting substrates of different sizes is disclosed. A retainer is disposed at a position directly beneath a sealing member which seals a first substrate and a second substrate, between the second substrate and a third substrate. The retainer is applied to the substrates simultaneously with the application of the sealing member. The first, second and third substrates are stacked one on the other and pressed to form a multi-layer panel. By virtue of the retainer, the gaps between the respective substrates are maintained uniform over the display area.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing liquid crystal display element by a multi-element process is disclosed. Two substrates of plastic film provided with electrodes in individual element sections are put together such that the electrodes on these plastic films are in register with one another, liquid crystal is sealed in a space between the substrates which is defined in respect of the individual element sections by a seal member in the form of a closed configuration and the substrates are cut to obtain individual liquid crystal display elements separated from one another. One of the substrates is formed with cuts in the neighborhood of the outer wall of the seal members before putting together the substrates.

Abstract: A field effect type liquid crystal display element is provided with polarizing plates. Each polarizing plate comprises a polarizing film consisting of polyvinyl chloride and supporting members bonded to both sides of the polarizing film and an ultraviolet ray absorbing agent is incorporated to either one of the polarizing film and the supporting members.
