  • Patent number: 4931065
Abstract: Reactive dyeings on textile materials containing cellulose fibers are aftertreated with aqueous solutions of benzylated resins which are obtainable(a) by condensation of methylamine and epichlorohydrin or(b) by heating triethanolamine and/or triisopropanolamine in the presence of acidic catalystsand have been reacted with from 0.25 to 1 mole of benzyl chloride per mole of amine in the condensate. The dyed textile materials aftertreated in this manner possess good wet fastness.

  • Patent number: 4813971
Abstract: Textile materials made of natural or synthetic polyamides or mixtures thereof are dyed in the presence of a cyclic ester of sulfurous acid with an aliphatic 1,2-diol in place of a customary pH regulant.

  • Patent number: 4704132
Abstract: Dyeings with reactive dyes on cellulose fiber materials are after-treated with an aqueous solution of a condensate which is obtainable by reacting (a) bisbenzylpiperzine with (b) ethylene chloride, an epihalohydrin, propylene chloride, 1,3-dichloro-2-hydroxypropane, bisepoxybutane or 1,4-dichlorobutane or a mixture of these, in a molar ratio of from 1:0.5 to 1:1.1, or by reacting (c) piperazine, bis-1,4-aminopropylpiperazine, 1-aminoethylpiperazine, 2-hydroxyethylpiperazine or 1-methylpiperazine, or a mixture of these, with a compound according to (b) in a molar ratio of from 1:0.5 to 1:1.1 and benzylating the condensate, the benzylation being carried out using 0.15-1.0 mole of benzyl chloride per equivalent of nitrogen in component (c). The cellulose fiber materials after-treated in this manner possess very good wetfastness.

  • Patent number: 4488879
Abstract: This invention relates to dyeing textile materials of polyacrylonitrile or copolymers containing acrylonitrile in polymerized form with basic dyestuffs in aqueous dyeing liquors using the exhaust method employing retarders. The retarders are obtained by condensing (a) piperazine and piperazine derivatives with (b) ethylene chloride, epihalohydrin, propylene chloride, 1,3-dichloro-2-hydroxypropane, bis-epoxybutane, 1,4-dichlorobutene or their mixtures in mole ratios of 1:0.9 to 1:1.1. The condensation products are then quaternized with benzyl chloride using 0.8 to 1.5 moles of benzyl chloride per mole of component (a) for the quaternization. The aqueous solutions of the retarders either do not foam or show a very low foaming tendency.

  • Patent number: 4345910
Abstract: A process for dyeing polyester fibers which do not require a carrier with disperse dyes by the exhaustion method at 20.degree.-100.degree. C. and pH 4-6, with liquor ratios of from 5:1 to 100:1, and dyeing times of from 30 to 180 minutes, wherein the dyeing is carried out in the presence of from 0.5 to 20%, based on fiber weight, of a leveling agent consisting of an adduct of a C.sub.5 -C.sub.14 -alkylphenol or C.sub.5 -C.sub.14 -alkylnaphthol with from 4 to 25 moles of ethylene oxide.

  • Patent number: 4240792
Abstract: Dyed or printed synthetic fibers or materials consisting of synthetic fibers or of a mixture of synthetic fibers with other fibers are aftertreated with aqueous solutions which contain from 0.2 to 20 g/l of a mixture of one or more surfactants and a reductonate. The pH of the liquor is brought to above 8 and the aftertreatment is carried out at from 40.degree. to 100.degree. C.
