    Abstract: The invention provides a process for producing powders of novel multicomponent based shape memory alloys. The memory shape alloys are made by combining at least 4 to 6 elements selected from a combination of group IUPAC 4 transition metal (Ti) with group IUPAC 10 transition metals (Ni and Pt) to make up the basic ternary alloy with further additions of 1 up to 3 other transition metals making a final alloy of a maximum of 4 up to 6 components.
