  • Publication number: 20230359280
Abstract: A method of customizing a hand gesture provides a touch screen, a computing unit connected with the touch screen, and a hand gesture database connected with the computing unit, and the method includes the following steps: recording a hand gesture trajectory data input of an input hand gesture on the touch screen; converting the hand gesture trajectory data input into a 2D trajectory graph of the input hand gesture; the computing unit sequentially reads a 2D hand gesture reference graph from the hand gesture database, and correspondingly generates a 2D hand gesture reference graph set for the 2D hand gesture reference graph read, and then the computing unit compares the similarity between the 2D trajectory graph of the input hand gesture and each reference graph in the 2D hand gesture reference graph set to determine whether the input hand gesture is already in the hand gesture database.

  • Patent number: 10305353
Abstract: The present invention relates to a rotor for a rotating machine and more in particular, to a component of the rotor. The present invention generally relates to an improved cooling configuration of a rotating machine. Unlike generally known arrangements, the solution proposed herein does not guide coolant fluid to parts which require cooling. Instead, the heat generated from the losses in the rotor pole is transferred to parts having favourable characteristics for establishing heat exchange.

  • Publication number: 20160125542
Abstract: The invention is directed toward a method of performing an unconventional magic trick. The magic trick is a methodology of identifying a number of securities of publicly traded companies which are ideal targets for short selling. The process starts with utilizing a computer system to scrape publicly available information on the internet about a company. The system then searches for social connections between a target company and a company which has been previously successfully targeted for a short selling campaign. Evidence which would cause a change in the perceived value is collected and disseminated. A magic show is performed where the perceived value of the target company is first increased and then sharply decreased. Audience members are invited to participate in the trick by purchasing enhanced tickets which include a share in the proceeds from a short selling campaign against the company.

  • Patent number: 8878403
Abstract: An air-cooled motor-generator (10) includes a rotor (34) with a rotor shaft (11), which is arranged rotatably about a machine axis (15) and on which a rotor winding (16) is arranged, and a stator (35) with a stator laminate stack (18) and a stator winding (17) arranged therein, which concentrically surrounds the rotor winding (16) A closed cooling circuit operating with cooling air (24) is provided, with the cooling air in the cooling circuit flowing through the rotor winding (16) and the stator winding (17) radially from the inside outwards, the cooling air being cooled in coolers (19) arranged outside the stator (35) and being fed back to the rotor (34). Cooling which can be changed before or during operation is achieved in a simple manner by virtue of the fact that adjustable throttle devices are provided for adjusting the volume flow of the cooling air in the cooling circuit at the coolers (19).

  • Patent number: 4147149
Abstract: The exhaust valve is provided with an air gap which extends axially of a sleeve-like member to which the hot exhaust gases from the combustion chamber passes. The air gap serves to impede heat exchange between the coolant which cools the valve seat surface of the sleeve-like member and the hot gases passing over the inner surface of the sleeve-like member.
