  • Publication number: 20080242281
Abstract: A network device, method, and mobile device are directed towards enabling a computing device to initiate an Internet Protocol (IP) connection with a mobile device using text messaging. The initiating computing device may attempt to contact the mobile device by sending a request to a gateway device. In one embodiment, the request may include a phone number for the mobile device. If an existing IP connection is detected, the gateway device may employ it to establish an IP connection to the initiating computing device. Otherwise, the gateway device may employ the phone number to send a text message to the mobile device. The text message may, in one embodiment, include instructions, or the like, requesting the mobile device to establish an IP connection with the gateway device. The gateway device may then complete the IP connection between the mobile device and the initiating computing device.

  • Publication number: 20060119701
Abstract: The present invention is a portable camera and lighting unit for standalone use in videography to create a high-resolution well-illuminated video feed from a vast array of camera angles and positions, the illumination source always inherently tracking with the camera. The unit may also be used as a satellite in combination with a primary video conferencing and production station (VVPR) for multi-camera production and teleconferencing capabilities. The portable camera and lighting unit includes a portable base, a mast extending upward from the base, and an articulating boom that is fully-pivotable and extendable. A remote control Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera is mounted at the end of the boom for overhead images of healthcare procedures, and an adjustable beam light source is mounted directly on the camera for lighting.

  • Publication number: 20050052527
Abstract: A mobile self-powered videoimaging, video communication, video production (VCVP) system designed specifically for health care industry that provides high-resolution audio, video and data communications, production and recording capabilities at hospital operating room/procedure room or field environments for transmission to other remote locations. The VCVP system generally comprises a mobile platform with a plurality of cameras, at least one being mounted on an extensible boom for overhead imaging of surgical procedures. An array of video production equipment is rack-mounted inside the platform, as is an array of network teleconferencing equipment. The mobile imaging system may be parked at a convenient location in an operating room or other environment and controlled by a single operator.

  • Patent number: 6702197
Abstract: An anti-electrostatic discharge spray gun apparatus and method for preventing crystallization of particles formed as a result of electrostatic discharge from forming on a spray gun nozzle and an associated pair of oppositely charged electrodes disposed on the gun. The apparatus has a housing; a nozzle attached to the housing for dispensing gas; a device for dispensing a gas through the nozzle; a device for electrostatically discharging a gas dispensed through the nozzle; and a device for restricting the flow of a gas through the nozzle. The device for dispensing and restricting flow of a gas through the nozzle may be either a bypass piping having a flow control means or a stopper that operates to provide a constant but low volume flow of an inert gas such as nitrogen to the nozzle to prevent particle build up or crystallization from occurring.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an anti-electrostatic discharge spray gun apparatus and method for preventing crystallization of particles formed as a result of electrostatic discharge from forming on a spray gun nozzle and an associated pair of oppositely charged electrodes disposed on the gun. The apparatus has a housing; a nozzle attached to the housing for dispensing gas; means for dispensing a gas through the nozzle; means for electrostatically discharging a gas dispensed through the nozzle; and means for restricting the flow of a gas through the nozzle. The means for dispensing and restricting flow of a gas through the nozzle may be either a bypass piping having a flow control means or a stopper that operates to provide a constant but low volume flow of an inert gas such as nitrogen to the nozzle to prevent particle build up or crystallization from occurring.
