  • Publication number: 20240086214
Abstract: A method for electronic device virtualization and management includes transmitting a signal to a server from a client. The signal is initiated by a user of a user interface of the client. The user interface of the client presents at least two devices to the user, which the user may interact with. The signal may include a power cycling instruction directed to at least one of the devices. When the server receives a communication back from the at least one device, it may send the information to the client, where the user interface may be updated in response to the communication. The devices may be controlled with other instructions, such as scheduling instructions, firmware update instructions, and configuration backup instructions. If a power device is virtualized, it may be controlled on a port-by-port basis.

  • Patent number: 10916257
Abstract: A method and a device for equalizing audio signals, where the method includes: obtaining an audio signal (S401); acquiring an echo estimate that is caused by a sound reflection off one or more objects (S403); acquiring correction data based on the audio signal and the echo estimate (S405); and equalizing the audio signal based on the correction data (S407). Accordingly, by virtue of the method and the device for equalizing audio signals, equalization can be performed automatically in real time to match an audio signal to a desired reference frequency response with consideration of spatial acoustics, such as indirect echoes.

  • Publication number: 20190347510
Abstract: A computing device obtains a digital image depicting a facial region of an individual and performs a facial alignment algorithm to generate a facial alignment result depicted in a digital image to identify landmark facial features in the facial region. The computing device performs a facial recognition algorithm on the facial region to determine whether the facial region matches a facial feature definition previously-stored in a data store. The computing device generates descriptor data comprising an image patch within a region of interest and identifies a closest matching facial feature definition using the descriptor data. The computing device modifies a landmark facial feature based on the identified closest matching facial feature definition.

  • Publication number: 20150367503
Abstract: A screwdriver head storage device includes a cover and a base formed with a plurality of inner spaces which includes a bottom and a top. The cover includes a stop flange, a push portion, and a lateral opening on the top of the inner spaces. Each of the elastic members is received in a corresponding one of the inner spaces and has a first end connected to the bottom of the corresponding one of the positioning portions. Each of the inner spaces is capable of holding a plurality of screwdriver heads between a top surface of the base member and a second end of the respective elastic members. The screwdriver head can be taken out via a lateral opening, then the compression spring will push the rest screwdriver heads toward the top of the inner space until the screwdriver heads are stopped against the stop flange.

  • Patent number: 8677236
Abstract: Word predictions in a message are selected or prioritized based on the recipient of the message and a previous location of use by a user. An input history is created based on messages sent to the recipient from the user at a particular location (e.g., global positioning system coordinates). As the user composes subsequent messages, a current location of the user is determined. Word predictions are performed based on a comparison of the current location to the previous locations, and based on the recipient(s). In further embodiments, location-aware spell-check functionality is provided for the messages.

  • Patent number: 7912700
Abstract: Context-based word prediction is provided. A software application utilizes words contained in an application document to provide context-based word prediction in the same or a related document. The software application creates an application defined data source and populates the data source with words occurring in a document. When the same or a related document is being edited via an input method, for example, typing, speech recognition, electronic handwriting, etc., a prediction engine presents candidate words from the application defined data source that match current text input, and the user may choose from the presented candidate words for automatic population into the document being edited. Information from the application defined data source may be transferred between computing devices, for example, between a mobile computing device and a desktop (non-mobile) computing device.

  • Patent number: 6491248
Abstract: A measuring tape has a check device for automatically preventing a ruler from rewinding. The check device is installed within the casing and positioned between a winding wheel and a ruler body. The check device comprises a rotary wheel formed by an elastic wheel and two ratchets; a guide block having stop blocks; a stop claw; a driven element installed between the press button and the stop claw; and a press. By above components, the ruler body can be installed between the elastic wheel and the guide block. As the ruler body is pulled out, it can be stopped automatically. Only after pressing the press button, the ruler body rewinds. Thereby, the user may operate it by only one hand not to worry about that the hand will be hurt due to the rewinding of the ruler body.
