User actions such as a direction of finger swipe against a touchscreen, a speed of finger swipe against the touchscreen, and/or a length of finger swipe against the touchscreen, may determine the trajectory and/or force of the projectile. The player may dynamically select specific roles from a plurality of cards available in a deck, with the particular role determining game parameters such as offensive effectiveness and defensive strength. The game may incorporate one or more strategic concepts such as the ability to combine roles, the evolution of roles over time, and the selective enlistment of allies.
