    Abstract: The present invention relates to a hybrid component and a method for producing the hybrid component. The hybrid component comprises a steel component 1 and a light metal component 2, wherein the steel component 1 has a recess 3, which extends through the steel component and tapers towards the light metal component 2, the recess being filled with a weld filler material 6, such that owing to the weld filler material 6, the steel component 1 is bonded in a positive locking manner so as to be positionally stabilized.

    Abstract: In a method of producing a material joint between a hollow section of steel and a structural element of an aluminum material, hollow section is aligned in relation to the structural element in a coupling position. One end of the hollow section is placed upon a shoulder of the structural element, and the end of the hollow section is connected with the structural element by thermal joining, using inert gas shielded arc welding. A welding torch is hereby positioned at an angle of 20° to 40° in relation to an axial direction in a welding position in relation to a joining seam to be realized, and the axial direction is oriented in parallel relationship to a longitudinal axis of the hollow section.

    Abstract: In a method for producing a joint between a hollow profile made from steel and a component made from an aluminum material, a positive and material joint is produced by a braze welding process in conjunction with a pressing operation. The hollow profile is first pressed on a seating region of the component. Subsequently, a weld layer with an additive is applied by thermal joining, producing a positive and material joint between the hollow profile and the component. The positive joint is facilitated by first forming an end of the hollow profile to be pressed on. Preferably, forming is done by widening the end to be pressed on into the shape of a collar.
