  • Patent number: 11204123
Abstract: An eversible liner is provided for insertion into a pipe for pipe repair. The liner comprises: an extender tube; a connector portion; and a liner tube; a first end of said extender tube being in substantially fluid tight communication with a first end of said connector portion; a second end of said connector portion forming a substantially fluid tight, detachable connection with a first end of said liner tube to form a first connection; said extender tube, connector portion and liner tube forming a continuous tubular construction which is capable of eversion; wherein the liner comprises a sealing member arranged to inhibit passage of a fluid from the liner tube to the extender tube or the connector portion. The present invention aims to improve detachability of a liner tube from an extender tube over currently available technology, while providing improved accuracy when repairing a pipe with said liner tube.

  • Patent number: 10160158
Abstract: A pipe-liner system for lining a pipe and methods of use thereof. A continuous, eversible extended liner is formed from a pipe-liner attached to an extender-tube via a substantially leak-proof connection there between. Lengths of the extender-tube and the pipe-liner are each chosen so that the pipe-liner is caused to be accurately positioned within the pipe upon everting the extended liner into the pipe by a pressurized fluid. The pipe-liner is held against an interior surface of the pipe being lined by inserting an inflatable bladder into the extended liner and filling the bladder with pressurized fluid. When a resin in the pipe-liner has hardened, the bladder is removed and the extender-tube is detached from the pipe-liner.

  • Patent number: 9724873
Abstract: A pipe-liner system for use when lining a pipe interior features a pipe having a pipe opening end and a pipe interior wall. The system features a flexible, substantially-impermeable, elongate extender-tube and an evertable, flexible, elongate, tubular pipe-liner. The system features a substantially leak-proof pressure retaining closure-sleeve located on a pipe-liner second end. An extender-tube second end is attached to a pipe-liner first end via a substantially leak-proof connection there between. The combined extender-tube and the pipe-liner form a single continuous evertable tube, hereinafter referred to as an extended liner having the pressure retaining closure-sleeve enclosing an extended liner distal end. A length of the extender-tube and a length of the pipe-liner are each chosen so that the liner is caused to be accurately positioned within the pipe upon eversion.

  • Publication number: 20110247755
Abstract: An evertable extended liner comprising a liner and an extender-tube that are joined to form a continuous tubular entity. When a pressurising fluid is introduced into the interior of the extended liner it is caused to evert and extend progressively, the uneverted part of the liner passing through the interior of the extended liner, being drawn progressively in direction forwards towards the point of eversion. By this process the liner and the extended liner may be caused to evert into a pipe being lined where the liner may subsequently be formed against the inner surface of the pipe by means of fluid pressure which may be applied directly or by a separate pressurisable tube, following which means for applying fluid pressure are removed and the extender-tube is detached from the liner.

  • Publication number: 20050200037
Abstract: A pipeline pig (1), and method for installing a liner into a pipework, the pipeline pig comprises longitudinal inner (7) and outer (6) walls, and end walls (10, 12), said inner and outer walls being of substantially annular arrangement in transverse section, the pipeline pig being such that, in use, space enclosed by said walls is filled with fluid, and when a pressurising fluid is applied to the rearward end of the pipeline pig the pig advances through the pipeline by way of substantially radial portions of the walls moving in respective endless loops. The pipeline pig exerts a radially outward pressure to a liner (16) so as to urge said liner against an inner surface (40) of the pipework. The inventive pipeline pig can also be used to clear unwanted material from a pipework.
