    Abstract: A trivet for supporting both flat and curved bottom cooking vessels. Various alternatives are described including a flippable trivet which on one side supports flat bottomed vessels and on the other curved bottom vessels. The curved bottom vessel may be supported by either upstanding prongs, an upstanding ring, an aperture in the trivet, or a ring in the trivet.
