  • Publication number: 20130200097
Abstract: A soap dispenser can be configured to dispense an amount of liquid soap, for example, upon detecting the presence of an object. Certain embodiments of the dispenser include a housing, reservoir, pump, motor, sensor, electronic processor, and nozzle. In certain embodiments, the sensor can be configured to generate a signal based on a distance between an object and the sensor. In certain embodiments, the electronic processor can be configured to receive the signal from the sensor and to determine a dispensation volume of the liquid. The dispensation volume can vary as a function of the distance between the object and the sensor. The processor can be configured to control the motor to dispense approximately the dispensation volume of the liquid.

  • Publication number: 20130200109
Abstract: A soap dispenser can be configured to dispense an amount of foam soap. In some embodiments, the dispenser can include a venturi device with an air inlet and a soap inlet. In certain implementations, the dispenser can include a flexible impeller pump. In some such embodiments, the pump can be configured to draw liquid soap through the soap inlet of the venturi device and air through the air inlet of the venturi device. The soap and air can mix to form foam, which can be drawn into the pump and dispensed via a nozzle in communication with the pump. In some embodiments, the dispenser includes a screen, which can modify the texture of the foam.

  • Publication number: 20130193145
Abstract: A receptacle having a lid which has a pair of dampers configured to slow the movement of the lid from an open position toward a closed position. The dampers are provided at opposite ends of a pedal connected to the receptacle body at opposite lateral positions relative to a side of the receptacle body. The receptacle includes an air filtration device mounted in its lid which guides air through the filter device during the downward motion of the lid. The receptacle also includes at least one damper which provides dampening forces against the motion of the lid in both opening and closing directions. The receptacle also includes an anti-sliding device which increases the receptacle's resistance to sliding across a floor when a user steps on a pedal to actuate the lid.

  • Publication number: 20130180874
Abstract: A bathroom tool assembly having a bathroom tool and a supporting holder, with a releasable interlock coupling between the bathroom tool and the holder. The releasable interlock coupling conveniently maintains a secured coupling of the bathroom tool to the holder, so that the assembly of bathroom tool and holder can be easily moved without leaving drips behind. The releasable interlock coupling is structured to allow easy coupling of the bathroom tool to the holder to securely interlock the bathroom tool to the holder and easy decoupling of the bathroom tool from the holder by a user with one-hand operation. In one embodiment, the releasable interlock coupling does not include any moving parts. In one aspect of the present invention, the releasable interlock coupling comprises a magnetic coupling.
