  • Patent number: 4341034
Abstract: A toy washing machine having a cabinet with a top opening in alignment with a tub in the cabinet and a rotatable agitator movable about a vertical axis by mechanism driven by a manually operated rack and gear train unit including one throwout gear operable when the rack is slidably moved in one direction to function with the train to drive the agitator in rotatable manner but be thrown out of operation in the gear train when the rack is moved in return direction. A flywheel also is driven by the gear train to facilitate unidirectional rotation of a rotatable member operated by the gear train.

  • Patent number: 4340373
Abstract: A spelling machine includes a housing having a row of drums on a shaft and is provided with a series of evenly spaced letters on the drums viewable through a row of holes in the housing. A row of slides in the forward portion of the machine has lugs and stop members respectively on opposite end portions. A series of cards each having a different picture thereon is inserted into the machine. Each card is provided with a row of holes spaced predetermined distances from an edge of the card which is parallel to the shaft when the card is inserted in the machine. The holes respectively receive the lugs on the slides and are operable to move the slides and stops thereon toward the drums various distances corresponding to letters respectively on the drums when the drums are rotated from starting position in one direction.

  • Patent number: 4338741
Abstract: A toy dryer having a box-like cabinet with a front wall provided with an opening for insertion and removal of items, a hinged door for the opening, a cup-shaped drum having an open end facing the opening and supported by a horizontal drive shaft in the cabinet, a slide having rack teeth along one edge for engagement with a throw-out gear of a gear train operated by reciprocation of the slide in feed direction and the throw-out gear permitting return of the slide without interference with unidirectional drive of the drum, and an extension on the slide extending through a slot in the top of the cabinet terminating in a finger-engageable operating knob by which the slide is reciprocated in driving direction and a spring effects return movement when the knob is released. The cabinet also includes interior-planar frame members which support the slide and gear train and projections and pedestal members support the frame members and effect connection of various walls of the cabinet together.
