  • Publication number: 20240152345
Abstract: A system for determining a representative vehicle software configuration for a subset vehicles that are part of a group of vehicles. The system includes one or more processors and a memory coupled to the one or more processors, where the memory stores data comprising a database and program code that, when executed by the one or more processors, causes the system to select a module configuration that is part of a set of combined module configurations as the representative vehicle software configuration based on at least one predefined criteria.

  • Publication number: 20240046799
Abstract: A system for multi-mode connectivity for group vehicle activity and for over-the-air updates via time synchronized device-to-device side-link communications is provided. The system includes a remote communication device configured to transmit data, vehicles to receive the data, and a computerized controller. The controller includes programming to analyze hardware of the vehicles to identify alpha vehicles including excellent wireless capabilities, monitor signal strength between the vehicles and the remote communication device to identify vehicles including relatively strong communication strength, and determine a portion of the plurality of vehicles including highly functioning vehicles including the capabilities and communication strength. The controller generates a series of data transfers to first transfer the data from the remote communication device a highly functioning vehicle and subsequently transfer the data from the highly functioning vehicle to a second of the vehicles and transfers the data.

  • Publication number: 20230280358
Abstract: Techniques disclosed herein provide a method of informing blood product administration to a perioperative patient. Some patients may be at risk of perioperative bleeding following a surgery, such as a cardiac surgery. As discussed herein, coagulation status of a patient is monitored perioperatively and at least one value indicative of the coagulation status may be used to determine the patient’s risk of perioperative bleeding. Should the patient’s risk of perioperative bleeding be determined to be sufficiently high, such as when the value(s) are below one or more thresholds, techniques disclosed herein may also in some embodiments aid in titration of a blood product to be administered to the perioperative patient to adjust the patient’s risk of bleeding.

  • Patent number: 10478290
Abstract: An expandable valve (100) and valve frame device that may be implanted within the body, for example, at a position of the heart. The device may be surgically implanted and subsequently expanded at a later time. The device may include an expandable sewing member (160) surrounding the valve frame (130) at a region between upstream and downstream ends of the device, for attaching the device to surrounding tissue. The device may include a membrane (140) for blocking leakage out the side of the valve frame between opposite ends. However, the membrane may include a side opening (170) for guiding fluid flow toward an appropriate anatomical outflow tract. The device may include a hood-like covering attached to a tissue wall, for smoothly receiving and guiding fluid flow along a perpendicular bend. The device may further include a flared opening at a downstream end, providing adequate space for device attachment.

  • Patent number: 9705992
Abstract: A system and method of remotely changing use of a cellular protocol at a vehicle includes: storing, in a network access device (NAD) at the vehicle, identities of one or more cellular bands that provide cellular service according to an up-to-date cellular protocol; wirelessly receiving at the vehicle a computer-readable instruction that deactivates the up-to-date cellular protocol; and in response to the computer-readable instruction, the vehicle: obtains the identities of the cellular bands stored in the NAD; stores the obtained identities in a non-volatile memory device located apart from the NAD; and erases in the NAD the identities of the cellular bands that provide cellular service according to an up-to-date cellular protocol.

  • Patent number: 9628207
Abstract: Intelligent switching of audio sources includes determining, via a computer processor communicatively coupled to an audio system in a vehicle, alternative sources of content that are communicatively available to the vehicle. The audio system renders an instance of a content item that has been received from a content provider, as a source of content, over a network. Upon determining an interruption in a signal from the content provider with respect to the instance of the content item, the intelligent switching of audio sources also includes presenting an alternative content item, through the audio system, from one of the alternative sources of content.

  • Publication number: 20050124971
Abstract: Methods and systems infuse therapeutic materials into a vascular vessel by means of a catheter based infusion system. In especially preferred forms, the infusate (which comprises a therapeutic material) is infused through a distal end of the catheter and into the vascular vessel by delivering the infusate to the catheter at a substantially constant flow rate while simultaneously imparting a pressure amplitude and frequency to the infusate in dependence upon a sensed pressure condition within the vessel. Preferably, and the pressure amplitude imparted to the constant flow rate of infusate is about twice the vessel systolic pressure. The present invention is therefore especially well suited for the catheter-based infusion of relatively large particles, such as cellular, genetic, viral, polymeric or proteinaceous materials, intravascularly in dependence upon the pressure and flow characteristics of the infusate.
