    Abstract: A card comprises a plurality of code storing mediums arranged between two opaque, non-magnetic sheets and each having a constricting portion. The code storing mediums are looped and open-loop metallic pieces of conductive material. Such a card is inserted into a card reader apparatus which is permitted to read the stored information by detecting a presence of oscillation involved with a change of coupling degree of coils in a detecting body generated according to a difference between shapes of the code storing mediums.
