  • Patent number: 7063721
Abstract: A woven tubing for use in a stent type blood vascular prosthesis which contains a multifilament formed of two–five single filaments in at least part of warps and has the single filaments disposed in single lines, and a stent type blood vascular prosthesis using the woven tubing are described. The prosthesis combines a shape retaining property that is capable of maintaining its tubular shape without being crushed by the flow of blood with a high liquid tightness that is capable of reducing the leakage of blood to the exterior when implanted at the site of a lesion and allows prevention of the inflow of blood into the site of a lesion.

  • Patent number: 5545212
Abstract: An artificial blood vessel is formed of a tubular body of composite fibers. The composite fibers are composed of a polyethylene terephthalate and a polyester elastic body which are materials familiar with the tissue of an organism. The tubular body is produced by weaving, knitting or assembling processing, or the combined processing thereof, of the composite fibers.

  • Patent number: 5498336
Abstract: A filter for removing leukocytes and thrombocytes from a solution containing blood components, such as CRC, comprises a filter material having a first surface serving as an inlet surface and a second surface serving as an outlet surface. The outlet surface has a positive zeta potential greater than that of the inlet surface in an electrolyte solution having a pH value of 5.0 to 7.0.

  • Patent number: 5476507
Abstract: A vascular prosthesis is disclosed which excels in expansibility and allows satisfactory attachment thereto of cells and tissues. This vascular prosthesis is obtained by air-jet entangling a mass of yarns containing in at least a part thereof an elastic bulked yarn in order to get an entangled yarn furnished with fine crimps formed in fiber thereof, and fabricating a tubular fabric of the entangled fiber by one treatment selected from among weaving, knitting, and braiding treatments.
