  • Publication number: 20210045938
Abstract: Pant-like absorbent articles having improved chassis structures are disclosed. One pant-like garment comprises a front panel comprising a front garment-side layer, a front body side layer, and front elastic members therebetween, and a rear panel comprising a rear garment-side layer, a rear bodyside layer, and rear elastic members between the rear garment-side layer and the rear bodyside layer, a portion of the rear elastic members proximate a rear waist end edge are being uncovered by one of the rear garment-side layer and the rear bodyside layer. The garment may further comprise a rear secondary elastic member disposed overlapping the uncovered portion of the rear elastic members, and wherein one of the rear garment-side layer and the rear bodyside layer is folded over the rear panel secondary elastic member and overlaps the other one of the rear garment-side layer and the rear bodyside layer.

  • Patent number: 10512566
Abstract: An absorbent article includes a base-structure and an elevatable structure known as a flat-back protection feature, that is capable of rising above the base-structure during article use. The flat-back protection feature utilizes either differences in material length compared with the length of the adjacent base-structure, or elastic materials, to maintain the feature elevation above the base-structure, while the article is in an extended condition. The flat-back protection feature extends into the intergluteal cleft of a wearer during use. Embossment features on the absorbent article are used to facilitate folding of the absorbent article, enhance the functionality of the protection feature, and/or improve the ease of manufacture.

  • Patent number: 9675498
Abstract: An absorbent article has non-uniform dimensioned side barrier features and includes a lower structure. The article also includes an upper structure in fluid communication with the lower structure. The upper structure is adjacent and bonded to the lower structure. Embossment channels or embossment features and said side barrier feature lateral-most edges define side barrier features having either non-uniform lateral width dimensions or a combination of non-uniform lateral width and non-uniform height dimensions along the longitudinal direction of said article.

  • Publication number: 20140358106
Abstract: An absorbent article has non-uniform dimensioned side barrier features and includes a lower structure. The lower structure includes a backsheet layer, a first fluid permeable topsheet layer bonded to the backsheet layer, and a first absorbent core layer sandwiched between the first topsheet layer and the backsheet layer, with the first absorbent core layer having lateral-most side edges. The article also includes an upper structure in fluid communication with the lower structure. The upper structure is adjacent and bonded to the lower structure at the first fluid permeable topsheet layer, and includes a second fluid permeable topsheet layer and at least one additional absorbent layer.
