Abstract: An assembly includes a face plate to be assembled selectively with first and second handle assemblies. For assembly with the first handle assembly, a first fixing plate is attached to the face plate, and a sleeve member is inserted into the holes of the face plate and the first fixing plate. A first handle is inserted into the sleeve member and connected to a first returning mechanism. For assembly with the second handle assembly, a second fixing plate is attached to the face plate. A second handle extends through the holes of the face plate and the second fixing plate and connected to a second returning mechanism. Each of the first and second fixing plates has a spring retaining element to engage a spring end of a torsion spring of the first or second returning mechanism.

Abstract: A device for holding and adjusting the opening angle of a door includes a first lever having a forked end with two generally parallel lugs which are respectively provided with substantially aligned first and second pivot holes, and a second lever which has a journal member for insertion into the first pivot hole, the journal member having a threaded hole and a first engagement surface. A first detent member is inserted between the parallel lugs and has a pivot slot aligned with the first and second pivot holes. The first detent member further includes a second engagement surface for engagement with the first engagement surface, and a detent face. A resilient second detent member is mounted inside the first lever inwardly of the forked end to engage the detent face.

Abstract: A retaining assembly includes a hollow casing mounted on a door. The casing has a horizontal wall portion formed with a through-hole and an upright rotary shaft which has an end portion that extends out of the casing through the wall portion and which is rotatable relative to the casing. A coupling rod has a first end portion connected pivotally to a door frame and a second end portion connected to the end portion of the shaft so as to, drive rotatably the shaft in a first direction when the door moves relative to the door frame to an open position. A pin has an end portion which is normally biased to extend out of the casing via the through-hole. An elongated positioning plate has a first end portion and a second end portion which is coupled releasably and selectively to the end portion of the shaft such that the first end portion is displaced by a variable initial angle, corresponding to the open position, with respect to the pin when the door is in a closed position.
