    Abstract: The present application provides a recombinant fusion protein containing an anti-CD24 antibody or an antibody fragment thereof, with at least one paratope of the anti-CD24 antibody or antibody fragment thereof linked via a linker to an extracellular Ig-like domain of a signal-regulatory protein (SIRP) at N-terminus of a heavy chain or a light chain constituting that paratope, wherein the recombinant fusion protein can bind to CD47, CD24 and FcR simultaneously. The present application also provides a nucleic acid molecule encoding the recombinant fusion protein, an expression vector containing the nucleic acid molecule, a method for producing the recombinant fusion protein and a method for treating a disease associated with over expression of CD47 and/or CD24 using the recombinant fusion protein.

    Abstract: A novel injectable human amniotic membrane (hAM) matrix to enhance cardiac repair and/or regeneration following myocardial injury (MI) and wound healing has been developed. The invention disclosed herein provides human amniotic membranes isolated from human placenta and engineered to be a thermo-responsible, injectable gel at temperature ranges that fall within body temperature. The ultrasound-guided injection of hAM matrix into a rodent model of myocardial infarction significantly improved cardiac contractility, as measured by ejection fraction (EF), and decreased fibrosis. The disclosure provided herein demonstrates the specific engineering injectable hAM matrices and their efficacy in attenuating degenerative changes in cardiac function following MI, which has broad applications in wound healing and tissue regeneration.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method for generating spatial audio with uniform reverberation in a real-time communication session is performed by a real-time communication software application running on an electronic communication device. The method includes removing the reverberation of recorded speech signals from far-end participants by the dereverberation approach, rendering the direct sound parts by filtering the output signals by head-related transfer functions of desired directions, generating reverberant sound parts by convolving the output signals from with uniform room impulse responses or an artificial reverberator, combining direct and reverberant sound components to generate spatialized speech signals. When speakers and listeners are located in two virtual conference rooms, the reverberation of the two rooms are coupled. The reverberant sound parts are then generated by convolving the output signals and coupled RIRs from the two rooms.

The method converts three-dimensional (3D) point cloud data for the orchard environment into a 2D grid map, obtains a position of the mobile robot by performing local scan matching and global scan matching on the 2D grid map, and extracts a tree from the 2D grid map based on occupancy of each grid of the 2D grid map. Then, an effective line based on center points of extracted trees is obtained, a destination based on the obtained effective line is generated, and a driving path according to the generated destination and the position of the mobile robot is generated.

    Abstract: A therapeutic microporous hydrogel scaffold for use in an animal is disclosed that releases one or more therapeutic agents or drugs. The scaffold uses a drug-releasing microporous annealed particle system that encapsulates drug-loaded nanoparticles into particle building blocks. By modulating nanoparticle hydrophilicity and pre-gel solution viscosity, the particle building blocks were generated with consistent and homogeneous encapsulation of nanoparticles. The scaffold may be used to treat myocardial infarction (MI) using, for example, the drugs forskolin (F) and Repsox (R). The intramyocardial injection of the pre-annealed hydrogel slurry of particles that formed the resultant scaffold improved left ventricular functions, which were further enhanced with increased angiogenesis and reduced fibrosis and inflammatory response.

    Abstract: We have discovered a chemical cocktail that selectively induces a robust expansion of myogenic stem cells from readily-obtainable dermal cells and from muscle stromal cells. By differential plating and lineage tracing, we show that Pax7+ cells were the major source for chemical-induced myogenic stem cells (CiMCs). We further performed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) analysis to characterize the transcriptomic profile of CiMCs and demonstrate a specific expansion of myogenic cells from heterogeneous dermal cell population. Upon transplantation into the injured muscle, CiMCs were efficiently engrafted and improved functional muscle regeneration in both adult and aged mice. Furthermore, an in situ therapeutic modality using this cocktail was developed by loading the chemical cocktail into injectable nanoparticles, which enabled a sustained release of the cocktail in injured muscle and a local expansion of resident satellite cells for muscle regeneration in adult and aged mice.
