  • Publication number: 20230219588
Abstract: A vehicle may be operated in a driving mode with autonomous lateral control and in a driving mode with manual lateral control, where the vehicle has a steering lever with a steering lever range, and where the steering lever range represents a circular space which is delimited about 360° by a rotational movement of the steering lever about a steering lever axis of rotation. A method associated with the vehicle may include one or more of the following steps: operating the vehicle in a driving mode with autonomous lateral control; detecting an intrusion in the steering lever range and/or a breaching of a predefined distance from the steering lever range by the vehicle occupant or another object with a sensor unit without the vehicle occupant coming into contact with the steering lever; and signaling the intrusion and/or the breaching of the distance to the vehicle occupant.

  • Publication number: 20230143530
Abstract: An operating device includes a touchpad having an operating surface for detecting touch inputs, which operating surface has multiple regions which are delimited from each other at least in part by one or more structural elements, each structural element being designed to have a first haptic effect on a finger when the finger swipes over the structural element; and a haptic actuator which is designed to have a second haptic effect which enhances the first haptic effect on the finger when the finger touches or swipes over a structural element. The operating device has a first operating mode in which the actuator is activated to produce the second haptic effect on the finger when the finger touches or swipes over a structural element, and a second operating mode in which the actuator is deactivated when the finger touches or swipes over a structural element.

  • Patent number: 11602992
Abstract: A method for displaying points of interest on a digital map on a display, each point of interest being assigned at least one category and the space in front of the display being segmented into spatial regions where each spatial region is assigned a category. The method includes detecting the position of a hand of a user or part of the hand of the user by sensors, more particularly by cameras, identifying the spatial region in which the position of the hand or the part of the hand lies, identifying the category assigned to the identified spatial region, and displaying or highlighting the points of interest that have been assigned to the identified category.

  • Publication number: 20220297577
Abstract: A motion sickness mitigation method for the purposes of mitigating motion sickness of a vehicle occupant travelling in a motor vehicle includes moving at least a portion of a backrest, a portion of a seat squab, a portion of a head restraint, a portion of an armrest and/or a portion of a footrest as a function of a detected and/or an anticipated driving situation of the motor vehicle, in each case proceeding from a starting position in at least one spatial direction. The movement is situational on the basis of an actual or anticipated trajectory of the motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10843709
Abstract: A method for having an occupant of a vehicle that is in a highly automated driving mode take over a driving task includes the steps of determining that the occupant has taken over the driving task and, in response thereto, automatically actuating a handle element, which can change its shape, in order to affect the haptics of a rim of a steering wheel of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9946374
Abstract: A method is provided for receiving an input on a touch-sensitive field, wherein the field is set up to determine the location of a touch of the field by a user's finger, wherein the touch-sensitive field includes a tactile threshold. The threshold is arranged such that at least one area of the touch-sensitive field lies on each side thereof. The method detects a movement of the user's finger on the touch-sensitive field which crosses the threshold, and activates a function in response to the detection.
