  • Patent number: 11365318
Abstract: The present technology relates to an anti-stripping agent for an asphalt mixture, which includes a refined slowly-cooled slag obtained by processing slag, generated in ironmaking and steelmaking processes, using a specific method, and to a method for preparing the same, an asphalt mixture including the same, and a method for preparing the asphalt mixture. The refined slowly-cooled slag may include 55 to 65 mass % of CaO, 5 to 10 mass % of SiO2, 1 to 5 mass % of Al2O3, and 1 to 5 mass % of MgO.

  • Publication number: 20150329702
Abstract: A warm mix recycled asphalt additive according to one embodiment includes dregs of oil and fat which are the by-products remaining after fatty acids are extracted from oils. In addition, the warm mix asphalt mixture according to another embodiment includes 2-15 wt % of the warm mix recycled asphalt additive, having dregs of oil and fat which are the by-products remaining after fatty acids are extracted from oils, on the basis of the total amount of waste asphalt in waste asphalt concrete. It is possible to overcome the problem of brittleness or the deterioration of lower temperature properties even if mixing and using waste asphalt concrete and new asphalt concrete when making asphalt concrete, to minimize the generation of toxic gas by exhibiting a technique for paving a warm mix mixture, and to reduce the environmental burden by efficiently regenerating waste asphalt concrete and recycling organic dregs.

  • Patent number: 9017470
Abstract: Provided are a low carbon additive for a warm-mix asphalt (WMA) mixture, in which vegetable wax based on modified palm wax is mixed into polyethylene wax so as to be able to promote high-temperature physical properties of the WMA mixture as well as solve problems on low-temperature physical properties of the WMA mixture, warm-mix asphalt produced using the same, and a method of producing the WMA mixture using the using the warm-mix asphalt. The low carbon additive contains polyethylene wax and vegetable wax at a weight ratio of 20:1 to 1:2. The modified palm wax employs palm wax that melt-reacts with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and stearic acid (CH3(CH2)16COOH). This low carbon additive enables the WMA mixture to be efficiently produced, and thus makes it possible to reduce heating energy required when the WMA mixture is produced. Thereby, it is possible to remarkably reduce the emission of carbon dioxide that is a principal factor of global warming.
