Patent number: 7812376Abstract: Provided are a nonvolatile memory device and methods of fabricating and operating the same. The memory device may include a substrate, at least a first and a second electrode on the substrate to be spaced a distance from each other, a conductive nanotube between the first and second electrodes and selectively coming into contact with the first electrode or the second electrode due to an electrostatic force and a support supporting the conductive nanotube. The memory device may be an erasable nonvolatile memory device which may retain information even when no power is supplied and may ensure relatively high operating speed and relatively high integration density. Because the memory device writes and erases information in units of bits, the memory device may be applied to a large number of fields.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 2006Date of Patent: October 12, 2010Assignee: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventors: Jin-Gyoo Yoo, Soo-Il Lee

Patent number: 4151249Abstract: A method of making blown plastic containers having internal ribs is disclosed. The first step of the disclosed method is to prepare a substantially amorphous blowable plastic parison such that a major portion thereof is at a temperature within the orientation temperature range of the plastic, and a strip portion has a higher modulus of elasticity than the major portion. The second step is to blow out the parison within a blow mold such that the major portion expands faster than the stiffer strip portions and interior folded ribs are formed by the strip portions and adjacent areas of the major portion. Various means of performing those steps are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 1978Date of Patent: April 24, 1979Assignee: Owens-Illinois, Inc.Inventor: Soo-Il Lee

Patent number: 4144298Abstract: A method is disclosed for conditioning strain hardenable thermoplastic materials, such as polyethylene terephthalate, so that a highly developed strain crystallized morphology may be established during a blow molding operation. In the method, a thermoplastic parison is heated to a temperature in a range conducive to molecular orientation and then initially stretched at that temperature. Next, the stretched parison is cooled to a temperature slightly below glass transition temperature and stretched further at the reduced temperature. The combined stretching in these two separate phases is chosen to condition the material so that it is either on the verge of being strained hardened or has actually started strain hardening. Thereafter, the parison may be again heated to a temperature conducive to molecular orientation and blown; to a final article, with the resulting expansion of the material during the blowing operation achieving the desired strain crystallized morphology and strain hardening.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 1977Date of Patent: March 13, 1979Assignee: Owens-Illinois, Inc.Inventor: Soo-Il Lee

Patent number: 4108956Abstract: This disclosure relates to both a method and apparatus for forming injection molded articles in a molding assembly which includes a heated runner housing adjacent a cooled mold. In a first disclosed embodiment, a slidable gate valve having a supply passageway is interposed between and in contact with both the cooled mold and heated runner. A layer of insulation material is included on the slidable gate valve to thermally segregate the differential temperature zones of the mold and runner. In a second embodiment, an axially reciprocable pin valve selectively opens and closes a passageway between a heated runner housing and a cooled mold to regulate the flow of plastic material. An annular sleeve of insulation material is telescoped over a portion of the pin valve to likewise thermally segregate the runner and mold.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 1977Date of Patent: August 22, 1978Assignee: Owens-Illinois, Inc.Inventor: Soo-Il Lee
