    Abstract: Reduced digital audio sampling rates are described in a digital audio processing chain. In one embodiment, an audio signal is received. A convolution operation is performed on the received audio signal. The convoluted audio signal is sampled. An interrupt is received to process the audio sample, and the sample is processed in response to the interrupt. The processed samples are collected to form a frame and the frame is transmitted to a remote device.
