The message system allows the participants to share messages and documents via respective client/mobile devices. An application on each mobile device allows the audience member to peruse and comment on document portions (e.g., pages, images, or slides) being presented. The presentation sequence for the document portions can be managed by the presenter, or document perusal can be decoupled from the presentation sequence to allow audience members to focus on past or future document portions. Comments of the audience member or other participants can be linked to corresponding document portions.

Abstract: This invention allows keyword searches in both structured and unstructured databases, and across multiple databases of different vendors. An index database is created comprising word occurrences and table relationship information. In the case of unstructured databases with no predetermined schema, the relationship between different tables is derived through propagative n-level indexing and data is then populated in index tables. A database adapter enables indexing and searching across multi-vendor databases, which resolves discrepancies across different database access methodologies. Given a set of keyword inputs, the rows containing the search words and all the related rows are searched using word occurrences and relationship information.

Abstract: A system and method for unambiguously determining the position of a user terminal (for example, a mobile wireless telephone) in a low-Earth orbit satellite communications system. The system includes a user terminal, at least two satellites with known positions and known velocities, and a gateway (that is, a terrestrial base station) for communicating with the user terminal through the satellites. The method includes the steps of determining a range parameter, a range difference parameter, and either or both of a range-rate parameter and a range-rate difference parameter. A range parameter represents a distance between one of the satellites and the user terminal. A range difference parameter represents the difference between (1) the distance between a first one of the satellites and the user terminal and (2) the distance between a second one of the satellites and the user terminal.
