  • Patent number: 11916755
Abstract: A method and device for execution of deep neural network (DNN) in an internet of things (IoT) edge network are provided. In an embodiment, at least one edge device within communication range of an IoT device are selected. Further, a network for connecting the IoT device with the at least one selected edge device is identified. A split ratio is determined based on an inference time of the DNN and a transmission time required for transmitting output of each layer of DNN from the IoT device to the selected at least one edge device. Finally, a plurality of layers of the DNN are split into a first part and a second part based on the split ratio, and the second part is transmitted to the selected at least one edge device through the identified network. The first part is executed on the IoT device, and the second part is executed on the selected at least one edge device.

  • Publication number: 20110268203
Abstract: Techniques for enabling an estimate of a transmitted signal vector, given a received signal vector and a channel matrix to be computed, are provided. An initial solution signal vector for the estimate is calculated, and based on the initial estimate, a pool of possible solutions is generated. Methods described herein may be iterative in nature, and may cycle through possible estimates of the transmitted signal vector so as to continually improve the estimates and the pool of possible estimates. The methods may terminate once stopping criteria are reached. In some example methods, solutions may be marked at taboo and a taboo period can be established that indicates a number of subsequent iterations for which the current solution signal vector cannot be considered.

  • Publication number: 20090168985
Abstract: A communication system provides for an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS)-based three way call. A mobile station (MS) that receives an invitation to participate in a call determines to switch the call to a three way call. The MS conveys a request to an IMS network to switch the call to a conference call. An IMS network server receives the request, determines a unique identifier for the conference call, and provides the conference call identifier to the MS via one or more of a Session Initiation Protocol Refer message, Message message, and Notify message. In response to receiving the conference call identifier, the MS dials into the conference call and requests that the call originator also dial in. The IMS network server then requests that the call originator dial in, and the call originator does so in response to the request.
