  • Publication number: 20160213541
Abstract: A table driving system of a patient table is disclosed. The table driving system comprises one or more carriage unit capable of moving along a base member of the patient table. The patient table comprises a table top, the base member and a table lifting unit connected to the base members and a bottom portion of the table top. The table driving system also includes one or more actuating units. An actuating unit has its ends operatively connected to a carriage unit and the table lifting unit. The actuating unit is configured to retractably extend to operate the table lifting unit for the table top to attain a raised configuration and a lowered configuration. The carriage unit is configured to move along the base member to facilitate the operation of the actuating unit.

  • Publication number: 20160175177
Abstract: A system and method for automatically adjusting the height of a patient support table based upon a sensed height of a patient. The system includes a patient height sensing device that is positioned to determine the height of a patient. The determined height of the patient is relayed to a controller that calculates a desired patient loading height for the support surface of the table. The controller activates a lift assembly to move the support surface of the support table to the desired patient loading height. Once the patient is positioned on the support table, the controller moves the support, table to a medical procedure height and the medical scanning procedure is carried out. After the procedure is complete, the support table is returned to the desired patient loading height for unloading the patient.

  • Publication number: 20160157792
Abstract: A system and method for adjusting the height of a portion of a patient support table to accommodate various types of patients is disclosed. The patient support table includes a center section that is movable relative to first and second sections located on opposite sides of the center section. A lift mechanism is mounted to the support table to raise and lower the center section relative to the stationary first and second sections. When the center section is in its fully raised position, the patient support platform can be moved into and out of the medical scanning device by a platform drive mechanism. The lift mechanism is contained within the patient support table. The platform drive mechanism can be mounted either on the patient support table or on the medical scanning device, depending upon whether the patient support table is stationary or movable.

  • Patent number: 6359643
Abstract: A method provides for the signaling of a still image capture during video capture, the method including a step of receiving a still image frame capture command in a push model mechanism. The method also includes a step for capturing an image frame; and, modifying a set of bits in an image plane in the image frame; wherein the set of bits in the image plane indicates that the image frame is a still image frame. An apparatus for performing the method is also provided.

  • Patent number: 5925117
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for maintaining application integrity in a hot, disconnected network environment. The present invention provides a system having a computer subsystem with a processor executing application programs in an operating system environment. The system also includes a network and a connection to connect the network to the computer system. A notification mechanism detects when the network resources are no longer connected and permits continued use of the computer subsystem while it remains disconnected from the network.
