  • Patent number: 11810168
Abstract: The present disclosure provides techniques for monitoring transaction data. A first symbol is a symbol is assigned, at a first point in time, to a user device, where, when a user of the user device inputs an item, the user device outputs the symbol. The symbol is then detected, via one or more image capture devices, at one or more moments in time, and a number of times that the symbol was detected is determined. At a second point in time subsequent to the first point in time, a number of items associated with the user is determined. An audit of the uses is initiated based on determining that a difference between the number of times and the number of items exceeds a threshold maximum difference.

  • Patent number: 11488191
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a reverse auction application which can collect and display bids for a product or service to a user. The reverse auction application can also gather information about the user such as user preferences, brand loyalty, user characteristics, and the like. This information is provided to suppliers when requesting bids. The suppliers can use this information to then generate customized bids for the user. That is, unlike typical reverse auctions where bidders only compete over price, the bidders can use the user information provided by the reverse auction application to add incentives, offer combination orders, or offer additional services in their bids, as well as determine an optimum price.

  • Patent number: 9145010
Abstract: Printers and printer systems for printing images on paper in different configurations and for dispensing printed paper in different directions are disclosed herein. According to an aspect, a printer includes a body defining openings. A printing unit is positioned within the body and can receive an instruction for printing an image. In a first print mode, the printing unit can print the image on the paper in a first configuration and dispense the paper in a first direction through one of the openings of the body. In the second print mode, the printing unit can print the image on the paper in a second configuration and dispense the paper in a second direction through another of the openings of the body. A sensing component can determine whether the printer is in the first print mode or the second print mode.
