  • Patent number: 7931046
Abstract: A steam trap includes an inverted bucket in a bucket chamber. The bucket has a vent hole formed in an upper portion thereof. The vent hole is formed along a vent hole axis, which may be angled so that the bucket rotates from the venting propulsion. The chamber has an outlet orifice formed in a sidewall thereof. There is a spaced vertical distance between the outlet orifice and an upper interior surface of the chamber. Preferably, the bucket is not attached to the chamber and configured to move vertically and horizontally in the bucket chamber, but not flip over. The bucket and the interior sidewalls of the chamber are configured so that the bucket can substantially cover the outlet orifice when the bucket is pulled against the interior sidewall at the location of the outlet orifice by a flow of fluid out of the outlet orifice.

  • Patent number: 5291845
Abstract: A cover plate assembly for covering an access opening formed in a boat deck includes a cover plate for covering the access opening and engaging the exposed side of the deck which frames the access opening. A resilient O-ring gasket carried on the underside of the cover plate is compressed by the cover plate against the exposed surface of the deck. The cover plate and resilient seal are held in place by a retainer bar which is inserted through the access opening and engages the hidden side of the deck on opposite sides of the access opening. The cover plate is coupled to the retainer bar by a screw fastener which has a torque shaft and a manually operable handle. The torque shaft has a threaded shank coupled in threaded engagement with the retainer bar, and the torque shaft projects through the cover plate with the handle engaging the exposed side of the cover plate.

  • Patent number: 4875428
Abstract: A motorized outrigger drive for an outrigger on a fishing boat, the outrigger being of the kind having a boom fixedly cantilevered laterally outboard from the side of the boat for releasably trailing a fishing line from a point laterally spaced outboard from the side of the boat and thereby to minimize risk of tangling while simultaneously trolling with several fishing lines. An outrigger line loops around an outboard line direction changing means fixed adjacent the free end of the boom and a motorized drive unit fixed with respect to the boom and boat. The motorized drive unit reversibly feeds the outrigger line. A traveler unit is carried on the outrigger line and has a portion supporting a fishing line release.

  • Patent number: 4630633
Abstract: Apparatus for checking for steam leakage in a steam trap of the kind having a casing with an inlet for steam and condensate and an outlet for condensate, a condensate outlet valve, and actuating means for actuating the valve in the steam trap casing. A probe extends into the steam trap casing in noninterfering relation with the actuating means and responds to the level of condensate in the steam trap casing for changing an electrical condition. A monitor responds to the electrical condition for indicating the condition of the steam trap.
