  • Patent number: 6223444
Abstract: The present invention comprises an arrangement for the remote sensing and recordation of information about a body component. The arrangement includes a stylus held within a support head. The support head has an electrode therein for the detection and recordation of stylus contact with a body component. A plurality of parallelogram linkages articulably support the stylus. The linkages have a first or input end and a second or output end. A motion tracking generator is attached to the output end of linkages. A sensor is arranged to receive and record signals from the tracking generator in a plurality of orthogonal planes, so as to permit the generation and recordation of contours, location and domain of the body component being sensed by the stylus.

  • Patent number: 5407512
Abstract: An apparatus for accurately, efficiently, and consistently aligning a tabbing strip with the edges of the photographic print to which it is to be applied. The apparatus comprises a support panel, a tabbing strip registration guide, a photographic print registration guide, a clamping member including a linear clamp bar, and a spring for pivotally mounting the clamping member to the support panel. The present invention further provides a method of using the apparatus for accurately, efficiently, and consistently aligning a tabbing strip with the edges of the photographic print to which it is to be applied.

  • Patent number: 5183296
Abstract: A photograph album for holding a plurality of leaves in a laterally disposed relation to each other. The album includes an elongate generally U-shaped binder for receiving an edge portion of the leaves. The binder includes a first and second retainer hingedly secured to opposing ends of the binder, such as with an integrally molded living hinge. The retainers are movable between an opened and a closed position. In the opened position, the leaves may be inserted into or removed from the binder. In the closed position, the free end of the retainers engage respective slots in the leaves to retain the leaves in the binder. The retainers include outwardly extending tabs to engage respective openings in the binder to thereby lock the retainers in the closed position. Other aspects of the invention includes a cover for the album and a storage folder for holding a plurality of the covered albums. The album is amenable to assembly using automated technology.

  • Patent number: 5040216
Abstract: A photo album assembly has a book-like cover formed of two sheets of plastic, edge sealed to afford front and rear cover panels hinged to a spine panel. In one embodiment each cover panel includes a pocket that receives a paperboard stiffener; in another embodiment stiffer material is used for the inner cover panel sheets. A pair of rectangular retainers are mounted on one cover panel, adjacent opposite ends of the spine panel; a plurality of long, thin binder members are mounted between the retainers, each binder member having slots at both ends that engage the retainers for this purposes. For each binder member there is a flexible hinge tape, having two adhesive-coated strips separated by a non-adhesive hinge strip; one adhesive strip mounts the hinge tape along the edge of the binder member, and the other adhesive strip mounts a photo on the binder member. Alternatively, the binder members may be of unitary construction, with just one adhesive strip for photo mounting.

  • Patent number: 4925779
Abstract: A photo negative strip including a sequence of individual photo frames is protected by laminating two slightly narrower strips of transparent protective film onto the opposed surfaces of the photo strip; each protective strip is removably secured to the photo strip by two edge stripes of a pressure sensitive releasable adhesive. The adhesive stripes covers the sprocket holes near the edges of the photo strip, but edge portions of the photo strip are left, uncovered by either protective film, along both outer edges of the photo strip. The preferred protective film is of biaxially oriented polystyrene.
