  • Publication number: 20020126206
Abstract: A side-viewing accessory for road motor vehicles, being two wide-angle cameras affixed to front fenders of said vehicles, electrically connected to transmit electronic signals to monitor screen mounted on dashboard. Monitor being either single-vision having knob switch for viewing left side and right side sequentially, or said monitor being dual-vision that views both left and right sides of landscape behind the travelling vehicle, side by side on the screen simultaneously. Said cameras recessed in aerodynamic housings, and monitor situated inside the vehicle, precludes poor visibility from elements of weather. A radar capability is claimed to warn when following vehicles draw up alongside. And also claimed is a rear view mirror having a convex shaped longitudinal aspect to broaden side viewing capability in the event of electrical or mechanical failure of the said accessory.

  • Patent number: 5835342
Abstract: A Computer Desktop-keyboard Cover with built-in Screen Monitor Attachment is disclosed that could take the place of conventional CRT Monitors customarily associated with desktop workstations. Many such keyboards are entirely unprotected. The means described herein will (a) provide protection for all standard keyboards in use, and (b) the combined and compact desktop Keyboard-with-Monitor-peripheral may be stored anywhere when not in use. The Display Monitor utilizies LCD or other Flat-panel display technology. The attachment device is directly and independently connected electrically to the CPU or to the main Server-Interface in a Network environment. It is fitted with multi-media speakers and a floppy disk port. In one aspect, the attachment device is bolted to the keyboard by hinge-arm members. These rotating hinge-arms make it possible for the Cover and Monitor Device to be positioned in many different locations, on or behind the keyboard.

  • Patent number: 5781406
Abstract: A Computer Desktop-keyboard Cover with built-in Screen Monitor Attachment is disclosed that could take the place of CRT Monitors customarily associated with desktop work-stations. Many such keyboards are entirely unprotected, while some have a retractable tray that fits under a metal hood on which the CPU rests for storing and protecting the keys. The Cover & Screen Monitor device herein described makes this feature unnecessary since the keyboard is provided with its own cover. And when not in use the keyboard may be placed on top of the CPU where the CRT Monitor was before. The attachment device may be bolted to desktop keyboards of various designs and sizes, by a specially-designed hinge mechanism attached externally to each side of the keyboard body. The Screen Monitor Display device is directly and independently connected electrically to the systems-unit (CPU) and to the electric power supply.
