  • Patent number: 8217372
Abstract: A gas-cluster-jet generator with improved vacuum management techniques and apparatus is disclosed. The gas-cluster-jet generator comprises a substantially conically shaped vacuum chamber for housing the nozzle and jet exit portions of the gas-cluster-jet generator. A skimmer may be located at the narrow end of the conical chamber and a close-coupled vacuum pump is located at the wide end of the conical chamber. Support members for the nozzle are high conductivity “spider” supports that provide support rigidity while minimizing gas flow obstruction for high pumping speed. The conically shaped vacuum chamber redirects un-clustered gas in a direction opposite the direction of the gas-cluster-jet for efficient evacuation of the un-clustered gas. The nozzle and a skimmer may have fixed precision relative alignment, or may optionally have a nozzle aiming adjustment feature for aligning the gas-cluster-jet with the skimmer and downstream beamline components.

  • Patent number: 5924143
Abstract: The refill device is used with water-saving flush valves which retrofit into existing toilet tanks. These valves normally do not allow enough time to refill the bowl to its proper level. This diminishes their effectiveness and efficiency. The refill device is depicted here on a two-level valve of the inventor's previous patent. It comprises a chamber (40) between a valve (20) and a plate (34) which rotate up off of an outlet (22). As the valve is lifted the chamber contracts. After upper float (28) or lower floats (66) allow the valve to drop, water pulling down on the valve draws water into the chamber. The water pulls a flap (54) shut over a hole (56) in the plate. The plate then supports the chamber which holds the valve slightly open, permitting a predetermined amount of water to flow under it to refill the toilet bowl. Water seeps under the flap at a controlled rate allowing the valve to completely close.

  • Patent number: 4067074
Abstract: A water saver flush mechanism which functions through the handle of a toilet water storage tank to move the mechanism from a first mode of operation wherein only a portion of the water within the tank is flushed to a second mode of operation wherein the entire contents of the tank are flushed. The handle moves a support rod and operating finger which are positioned normally to limit the opening of the tank flush valve to a position to permit full opening of the flush valve, thereby permitting full flushing of the tank contents.

  • Patent number: 3993224
Abstract: In the two-component resin dispenser construction disclosed herein, an elongate spout is employed which provides a pair of parallel channels for conducting the respective resin components. The spout is of uniform cross-sectional configuration and is constructed of a readily severable material so that the distal end of the spout may be repeatedly cut off to clear the dispenser of plugs formed by the resin.
