  • Patent number: 6887028
Abstract: A device called a ramp-rack may be used as a rack for the body of a stake body truck in a first mode, and as a ramp in a second mode, for rolling equipment between the bed and the ground. The ramp-rack may be hinged, so when used as a ramp, it will be longer than when used as a rack. Two or more ramp racks may be stacked, when they are used as a rack on the bed of a truck.

  • Patent number: 6050520
Abstract: An aircraft for vertical take off and landing is comprised of a rotor assembly mounted on a rotating drive shaft extending from the top of a cabin. The rotor assembly is comprised of a truncated-cone top, a spaced apart circular bottom, and internal vanes running radially, between the top and bottom, forming an air impeller. In operation, air is drawn through the central air intake of the top and discharged through an annular nozzle around the circumference of the rotor assembly. As the top rotates, additional air is rammed through scoops mounted at an angle to radii of the top, on the surface of the top. The torque applied to the cabin, due to rotation by the engine of the rotor assembly, is countered by the reaction force generated by a plurality of tabs extending from the cabin sidewall into the airstream flowing downwardly from the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 5197630
Abstract: A dispenser for truncated conical coffee filters and the like has a cover with a nominal circular and offset opening. A hinged lid has an oppositely hinged tab which is manually pushed into the container interior, so the tabs abrasive tipped free end engages a filter. Lifting of the lid causes the tab to draw a single filter from the nest, through the opening. When the lid is thereafter lowered, the tab is automatically repositioned in a cutout opening of the lid, sealing the container, when the tab engages a tang projecting into the opening.
