  • Publication number: 20230347361
Abstract: An atomizing nozzle arrangement (1) is described including a housing (2, 3) having an inlet, a valve seat (6), a valve element (7) interacting with the valve seat (6), restoring means (8) acting on the valve element (7), and an orifice (9), wherein the valve element 7 cooperates with a guidance element (12) which is arranged in a bore of the housing (2, 3). In such an atomizing nozzle arrangement noise should be kept low. To this end, a combination of the guidance element (12) and the valve element (7) includes a surface having a smooth transition in a direction away from the valve seat (6).

  • Patent number: 10258817
Abstract: The present invention relates to a spray head for effective fire fighting. The spray head according to the present invention provides a uniform distribution of a fluid, such as pressurized water, over a relatively large area. To achieve this, the spray head comprises a body defining a central axis and further comprising a fixation structure for fixing the spray head to a fluid supply system, a fluid inlet, directing fluid in a first direction, a plurality of outlet holes arranged around the central axis, and a flow path between the inlet and the holes, wherein a first set of holes are located in such a way, that the fluid is leaving the first set of holes in a second direction opposite to the first direction and wherein the body further comprises an arrangement for holding a fire actuation member.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a spray head for effective fire fighting. The spray head according to the present invention provides a uniform distribution of a fluid, such as pressurised water, over a relatively large area. To achieve this the spray head comprises a body defining a centre axis and further comprising a fixation structure for fixing the spray head to a fluid supply system, a fluid inlet, a plurality of outlet nozzles arranged around the centre axis, and a flow path between the inlet and the nozzles, wherein a first set of nozzles are located at a larger radial distance from the centre axis than a second set of nozzles, and wherein the second set of nozzles are located at a larger radial distance from the centre axis than a third set of nozzles, and wherein the nozzles comprise an essentially identical expansion passage section. • Patent number: 6117395
Abstract: A distributor, in particular for a chemical analysis arrangement, is disclosed, having at least two plate-like housing parts which lie against each other with respective contact faces, wherein in the contact face of at least one housing part there is provided at least one channel that is covered by the other housing part. In a distributor device of that kind it is desirable to be able to structure the channels as precisely as possible and for the channels to be well-sealed, and for the volume to correspond as accurately as possible to a predetermined value. To that end, in one of the two contact faces there is provided a recess for receiving a bonding agent, which recess is arranged adjacent to the channel and follows its course.

  • Patent number: 5843379
Abstract: A sampling means of a chemical analysis apparatus includes a membrane, which is attached to a membrane carrier, which has an inlet passage to the side of the carrier facing the membrane and a discharge passage going therefrom. The passages conduct the medium to be measured and which medium absorbs ions, molecules or particles which pierce the membrane. In order to provide a sampling means, which has a short reaction time and makes use of small amounts of the medium to be measured and is easy to manufacture, the mouths of the inlet passage and of the discharge passage, which opens to the membrane, are interconnected by means of at least one groove, which is open towards the membrane. The groove is formed in a surface layer, which is attached between the membrane and the membrane carrier or is manufactured on the surface of the membrane carrier. The open side of the groove is closed by the membrane such that the membrane adheres to the surface layer or to the surface of the carrier facing the membrane.

  • Patent number: 5695719
Abstract: A fully functional analyzing unit is included within the fluid-tight housing of a dialyzer which may be immersed in the medium to be analyzed. An opening in the housing is closed by a dialysis membrane. A channel defining body cooperates with the membrane to define a flow channel. The unit includes a carrier fluid reservoir and a carrier pump for generating a flow of carrier fluid through the flow channel. By dialysis via the membrane, the flow of carrier fluid is transformed into a flow of sample fluid which is received in a reaction channel. Reagent fluid from at least one reagent reservoir is delivered to the reaction channel by at least one reagent pump, and a detecting device is coupled to the reaction channel for detecting a reaction product originating from a reaction between the reagent fluid and the sample fluid and for generating a corresponding detection signal. Effluent from the reaction channel is received in a waste reservoir.
