According to the invention, multiple data sources may be accessed by users having limited resources, such as time and money, as access may be established by means of a simple query, which may subsequently be effected by means of the stored retrieving profile.

According to the invention, an effective and robust web clipping has been obtained as scripts may be executed and the relevant data imported into the clip although the scripts may be external, i.e. not included in the clip as such. Moreover, the desired web clipping may be established on the basis of external links or other data external to the clip-defining HTML.
