  • Patent number: 9534003
Abstract: The invention features protected linker compounds which comprise at one terminus a protected amino group and at another other terminus a phosphorous activating group, such as a phosphoramidite group. These protected linker compounds are introduced chemically at the 5?-end of oligonucleotides for the purpose of preparing 5?-amino modified oligonucleotides. After deprotection, the thereby introduced amino group then allows further modification (e.g. attachment of dyes) or immobilization (on surfaces or beads) of the oligonucleotide. Specifically, the presented amino protecting group is designed to provide such protected linker compounds in a solid form, which facilitates efficient purification by precipitation or crystallization and aliquoting for distribution and storage.

  • Publication number: 20160261624
Abstract: A method includes collecting system calls and call parameters invoked by monitored applications for target computer systems. The system calls and call parameters are received from operating system kernels on the plurality of target computer systems. Sequences of systems calls and call parameters of the monitored applications are correlated among different target computer systems to deduce malicious activities. Remedial action(s) are performed in response to malicious activities being deduced as being malicious by the correlating. Another method includes determining that network activity at a specific time is deemed to be suspicious. Using IP addresses involved in the suspicious network activity, computer system(s) are determined that are sources of the suspicious network activity. Based on the specific time and the determined computer system(s), application(s) are determined that are executing on the determined computer system(s) that are causing the suspicious network activity.

  • Patent number: 8814709
Abstract: A flexible shaft for torque transfer has a plurality of metal wires that are helically wound in a plurality of layers with an opposite winding direction that alternates from layer to layer. Each of the metal wires is surrounded by an electrically insulating insulation layer. The insulating layer prevents a metal-on-metal contact between adjacent metal wires and thereby prevents unwanted intermodulation products.

  • Patent number: 8615788
Abstract: A computer implemented method for logging extensions to platform configuration registers inside a trusted platform module instance is provided. A request to extend the current state of at least one of a plurality of platform configuration register is received. At least one platform configuration register within the trusted platform module instance is extended. The extension of the at least one platform configuration register is logged inside the trusted platform module instance as a logged entry by storing at least a tuple of platform configuration register indexes and hash values used for extending the platform configuration register. Information about new entries in the consolidated logs can be retrieved by polling or by subscribing to events that are automatically generated. A report of an extend operation and its logged hash value is sent to subscribers interested in receiving notifications of extend operations on a set of PCR registers.
