Patent number: 10746275Abstract: In an actuator, which can be used, for example, for an electromotive parking brake, and the housing of which is equipped with a gear mechanism, axial and radial bracings of a worm member take place using a bearing bracket, the limbs of which, on both sides, engage the worm member from behind and reach radially beyond its shaft. As seizing protection against a wedging between the worm member and the worm wheel, the bearing bracket can be slightly displaced in the housing. For this purpose, by virtue of the restoring forces exerted by the spring elements, which are then tensioned, the bearing bracket together with the worm member is pushed axially and the worm wheel 20 is turned.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2019Date of Patent: August 18, 2020Assignee: OECHSLER AGInventors: Peter Stanislawski, Stefan Dettenberger

Patent number: 10738857Abstract: In an actuator having a reversible motor before a step-down gear, this can be optimized kinetically, geometrically and in terms of material engineering when different step-down ratios become active according to the different torque requirement for application and for release, in a manner dependent on direction of rotation, for example of a parking brake operated by an electric motor. For this purpose, two differently dimensioned idler wheels of the step-down gears that mesh, for example, with a stepped motor pinion, act via freewheels acting in opposite directions on a common gear shaft. Depending on direction of rotation of the motor, the gear shaft thereby rotates at different rpms, delivering correspondingly different torques.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 2018Date of Patent: August 11, 2020Assignee: OECHSLER AGInventors: Stefan Dettenberger, Daniel Motzet

Patent number: 9209660Abstract: A particularly cost-effective electric-motor brake actuator which is useable in a highly flexible manner in respect of structural boundary conditions has an integrally formed cup which is equipped with a permanent magnet assembly and can be equipped with a separately manufactured, electromagnetic rotor assembly. In this manner, the equipment outlay is reduced as is the construction costs.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2012Date of Patent: December 8, 2015Assignee: Oechsler AktiengesellschaftInventors: Stefan Dettenberger, Michael Traeger, Martin Assel

Patent number: 9145950Abstract: The invention relates to a subassembly for a brake actuator, which is provided for an electromechanically operated parking brake. The subassembly comprises a drive device and a gearing device, which comprises in succession a first, second and third gear stage for transmitting a torque generated by the drive device. The first gear stage is designed in the form of a gearwheel or belt drive, the second gear stage is designed in the form of a gearwheel mechanism, and the third gear stage is designed in the form of a planetary gear, wherein a planet carrier of the third gear stage receives a first gearing shaft for a sun gear of the planetary gear and an output-side gearwheel of the second gear stage that is coupled to rotate with the sun gear, and bearing elements for planet gears of the third gear stage. The invention further relates to an electromechanical brake actuator and to an electric parking brake, which include the sub-assembly.Type: GrantFiled: July 4, 2011Date of Patent: September 29, 2015Assignees: Lucas Automotive GmbH, Oechsler AGInventors: Stefan Dettenberger, Gregor Poertzgen

Publication number: 20090301824Abstract: Disclosed is an actuator (11) for electromotively actuating the braking mechanism (22) of a parking brake, especially in a motor vehicle. In order to operate said actuator at low noise even at a high motor speed, the motor (12) of said actuator (11) is provided with a speed reducing element comprising a pinion that preferably has only two teeth and permanently engages with the helical teeth (18) of an intermediate gear (19) as a result of the ribbed shape of the teeth of the pinion, which wind around the pinion shaft (16). The intermediate gear (19), along with a spur toothed pinion (20), directly drives an output gear (21) encompassing the output shaft (14) of the actuator.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 12, 2007Publication date: December 10, 2009Applicant: OECHSLER AKTIENGESELLSCHAFTInventors: Stefan Dettenberger, Wilhelm Wolf
