Patent number: 11996106Abstract: An apparatus decodes an encoded audio signal. The apparatus includes a spectral domain audio decoder that generates a decoded representation of a set of spectral portions, the decoded representation being spectral prediction residual values. A frequency regenerator generates a reconstructed spectral portion using a portion of the same set spectral portions. The reconstructed spectral portion also includes spectral prediction residual values. An inverse prediction filter is configured using prediction filter information included in the encoded audio signal and performs an inverse prediction over frequency using the spectral prediction residual values.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2021Date of Patent: May 28, 2024Assignee: Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Foerderung der angewandten Forschung e. Publication number: 20080242800Abstract: Colored molding compositions made from polyacetal copolymer, where the polyacetal copolymer essentially consists of oxymethylene units and oxyethylene units, and a strong protonic acid was used as initiator during preparation of the polyacetal copolymer, have lower formaldehyde emission than that from a comparable molding composition for which the polyacetal copolymer was prepared using a Lewis acid as initiator. The formaldehyde emission is generally less than 20 mg/kg, preferably less than 10 mg/kg.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 6, 2008Publication date: October 2, 2008Applicant: TICONA GmbHInventors: Stefan Disch, Karl-Friedrich Mueck, Lothar Reibmann

Publication number: 20040063853Abstract: Molding compositions made from linear polyoxymethylene copolymers which essentially have oxymethylene units and oxyethylene units as structural units in the polymer chain, where the proportion of oxyethylene units in the structural units of the polymer chain is from 1.5 to 2.5 mol %. These molding compositions, and also uncolored or colored moldings produced from these have high stability and extremely low emission of formaldehyde and of residual monomers. Patent number: 6316521Abstract: A small amount of an absorber mixture comprising activated aluminum oxide and potassium permanganate deodorizes the space within closed, gastight packs, in particular the space within packs of the type in which objects or materials which comprise polyacetal or otherwise release formaldehyde are present. Deodorization here is the removal (i.e. elimination or absorption) of volatile constituents emerging from plastic moldings or from plastic materials, in particular cleavage products, such as formaldehyde. The process is particularly suitable for the packaging of moldings or of assemblies which are to be used in the medical sector, in the food and drink sector or in any other sector affecting health.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 2000Date of Patent: November 13, 2001Assignee: Ticona GmbHInventors: Stefan Disch, Tilo Vaahs

Patent number: 5907029Abstract: The invention relates to polyarylene sulfoxides which are soluble in polar organic solvents, a process for their preparation and their use. Soluble polyarylene sulfoxides can be prepared by homogeneous partial oxidation of polyarylene sulfides. The homogeneous partial oxidation is achieved by dispersing the polyarylene sulfide in finely divided form in a solvent stable to oxidation, slowly adding a mild oxidizing agent and terminating the oxidation as soon as the polymer chains have reached a uniform degree of oxidation. The partially oxidized polyarylene sulfoxides are suitable for the production of coatings and shaped articles, such as fibers, membranes, films and nonwovens.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 1997Date of Patent: May 25, 1999Assignee: Hoechst AktiengesellschaftInventors: Stefan Disch, Michael Haubs, Axel Schonfeld, Helmut Scheckenbach
