  • Patent number: 7810186
Abstract: A device and method for motorized support of patient positioning are provided. The position of a patient bed and the setting of an electric motor drive are recorded which may differ due to elasticity and/or flexibility of the bed drive. A control signal for the electric motor drive is generated depending on the position of the patient bed and the setting of the electric motor drive. The drive can thus be activated for servo-support in case the patient bed is manually displaced, whereby the control signal is generated depending on a change in position of the patient bed, which does not correspond to a simultaneous change in the setting of the electric motor drive.

  • Publication number: 20080098525
Abstract: The patient positioning apparatus features a patient bed able to be moved by a motorized drive under the control of a control device. A sensor device is provided for detection of a manual force acting on the patient bed to move it. The control device is configured so that it activates the drive as a function of the force detected. In this way a simple method of supporting the manual movement of the patient bed by the drive is achieved.

  • Publication number: 20040086083
Abstract: An imaging medical examination apparatus, particularly an X-ray apparatus, has an electric motor for the drive of a movable component. The rotor of the motor is blocked when no drive current is supplied into the electric motor. The electric motor is a sliding rotor motor. The use of a self-inhibiting gearing can be foregone.
