    Abstract: A system for detecting a state of a vehicle component comprises a server computer and a vehicle having the vehicle component. The vehicle has a control computer for controlling the vehicle component and for detecting vehicle data which describe the state of the vehicle component. Furthermore, the vehicle comprises a data transmission device for transmitting the vehicle data to the server computer. The server computer is configured to receive the vehicle data and to evaluate the vehicle data. The server computer is configured to establish a state of the vehicle component by evaluating the vehicle data.
